Obituary:
Jack W. Ahlquist Neenah Age 82, died peacefully Monday, June 25, 2001, at Century Oaks Residential Care Community. He was born August 9, 1918, in Ashland, son of the late Walter and Alva (Werner) Ahlquist. He married Agnes Birling May 4, 1943, in Menasha. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an electrician and a 50-year member of the Local I.B.E.W. #577 in Appleton. Jack loved being at the cottage and hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Agnes; seven children, Victor (Betty) Ahlquist, Appleton; Kal (Diane) Ahlquist, Appleton; Darlene (Mel Chettum) Rannow, New Jersey; Randy (Jo) Ahlquist, Appleton; Beverly Danielson and special friend Dane, Appleton; Jackie (Todd) Brown, Menasha; and Mary (Chris) Kirsling, Menasha; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Olsen, Grandview, Wisconsin; and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Douglas; a brother, George, and two sisters, Alice Sibal and Hilda Schmidt. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2001, at 11:30 a.m., at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with the Rev. James Seim officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Ashland. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
