Obituary:
Ervin S. Melcher 10114 E. Second St., Kaukauna Age 63, passed away Sunday afternoon following a short illness. He was born April 9, 1911 at Kimberly and was a machine tender at Kimberly-Clark Paper Mill where he was employed for 43 years. He had resided in Kimberly and Kaukauna all of his life. He was a member of the Kimberly-Clark Quarter Century Club. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Marie Day Melcher; a daughter, Mrs. Norbert (Jaudin) Penterman, Kaukauna; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Kolasinski, Menasha, and Mrs. Barney Van Daalwyk; four grandchildren. A son, Ervin Jr., (Sonny) who was a veteran of the Korean conflict, preceded him in death in 1952. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Aioysius Catholic Church with Rev. Donald Fuller officiating. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home in Kaukauna after 3 p.m. Monday. There will be a prayer service at 8 Monday evening. A memorial fund has been established.
