Obituary:
Otto R. Jeske, 92, Appleton, passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at home. Otto was born in the Town of Seymour, on April 30, 1916, son of the late Albert and Ida (Court) Jeske. He accepted the Gospel of Christ in his teen years and was faithful to the faith all his life. He is a Veteran of World War II, having spent more than four years in the Air Corps, 32 months of them stationed in India. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Naef at Wausau, Wis., on June 29, 1945. They lived in California two years, then for 52 years on High Cliff Rd. near Sherwood, Wis., before moving in 2000 to Appleton. He worked for the Town of Harrison for 30 years.
Otto is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three children, Clifford (Mary Faye) Jeske, Peoria, Ill.; Adele Jeske, Bangladesh, Asia; Deborah (Dan) Hemauer, Appleton; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; brother, Robert (Arlene), Seymour; sister, Ella Kaatz, Swanton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Hilda Jeske in 1980 and Olga Jeske in 2008; brother-in-law, Gerald Kaatz in 2008.
Funeral services for Otto will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at Baseman Floors (N2926 Jeske Rd., Appleton) with Charles Thain and Gaylen Van Loon officiating. Visitation for Otto will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at Valley Funeral Home and again on Tuesday at Baseman Floors from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
