Obituary:
Van Linn, Ann M. "Aunt Ann", Ann Van Linn, 93, formerly of Kaukauna, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, on All Saints Day, at Colony Oaks Care Center, Appleton. She was born July 16, 1915, in Caspian, Mich., daughter of Anthony and Stephania (Chiemewska) Pangonis. Ann married Daniel "Uncle Red" Van Linn June 30, 1934, and he preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1979. Ann was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Parish, Kaukauna. She enjoyed hosting luncheons for the parish nuns at her home and was active in her church. Ann enjoyed being a crossing guard in Kaukauna for over 30 years. She loved cooking, especially for others, and her home was always open for everyone.
Ann is survived by dearly beloved nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel; sister, Eva Gartzke; brother, Casimir Usky; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 , at St. Katherine Drexel Parish-St. Mary site, 119 W. 7th St. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the mass.
A memorial has been established.
Aunt Ann will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
