    Obituary:
    Norbert J. Rotzenberg, 89, Menasha, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Cherry Meadows, Appleton. He was born on March 10, 1917, in Askeaton, Wis., son of the late Peter and Louise (Vande Voort) Rotzenberg. Norbert was married to Helen Walls on June 10, 1950, at St. Johns in Green Bay.
    He is survived by his wife, Helen, Menasha; four children, David (Diane) Rotzenberg, Alabama; Mary Anne (Bill) Alt, Evansville, Wis.; Paul (Diane) Rotzenberg, Milwaukee; George (Linda) Rotzenberg, Appleton; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Helen Paul, Grace Rotzenberg, Blanche Berken and Ruth Rotzenberg.
    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Frances.
    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2006, 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Menasha, with Fr. Roy Geenen officiating. Friends and family will be received at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service. Inurnment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Askeaton, Wis.
    The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Cherry Meadows for Norbert's wonderful care.

    Helen M. (Rotzenberg) Paul, 96, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2014.
    The daughter of the late Peter and Louise (Vande Voort) Rotzenberg was born on September 2, 1918 in Askeaton, WI. Helen graduated from Nicolet High School. She married Sylvan Paul on September 6, 1941 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Askeaton. They enjoyed over 54 years together. Helen worked at the Lee Store in De Pere for 18 years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere as well as the Altar Rosary Society. Helen was a very caring person. She devoted many hours to charitable organizations knitting and sewing hats and finger covers for newborns at St. Vincent Hospital. She also volunteered at the De Pere Christian Outreach. Helen created and sewed many teddy bears and hot pads which she donated to church. She was an accomplished seamstress.
    Survivors include her children: Gary J. and Bonnie Paul, Ashwaubenon; Daniel J. and Yvonne Paul, Waunakee; Mary Graves, Green Bay; Robert J. and Joyce Paul, Ledgeview; Kathy and Tim Smits, De Pere; Sue and Marty Valasek, Green Lake; Ann and Todd Jansen, De Pere. Grandchildren: Binky Hamilton, Gary (Donna) Paul Jr.; Heidi (Mike) Radosevich; Bill Paul (fiancé, Kim Malcore); Carmen (Paul) Meyer; Larry (Gayle) Paul; Peter Graves; Timothy (Susan) Graves; Brian (Robin) Paul; Troy (Robin) Paul; Matthew (Jody) Smits; Benjamin (Cher) Smits; Katie (Andy) Porubcan; Sarah Valasek; Christopher Jansen; and Nicholas Jansen. Helen was gifted with 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Rotzenberg.
    Helen was preceded in death by her husband Sylvan and her parents; sisters: Grace and Ruth Rotzenberg, Blanche Berken; brother: Norbert Rotzenberg; brother-in-law Lloyd Berken and son-in-law Fred Graves Jr.
    Family and friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere on Monday November 10th from 9AM until 10:45AM. Mass of Christian burial 11AM Monday with Reverend Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the Paul family.     Grace Patricia Rotzenberg died on April 10, 2009 in Lakeland, Florida. She was born April 11, 1920 in Askeaton, Wisconsin to Peter and Louise (Vande Voort) Rotzenberg. She graduated from Wrightstown High School and attended cosmetology school in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Gracie worked for 12 years as a beautician in Green Bay and spent 33 years with NCR Corp in Los Angeles, California. After spending most of her adult life in Los Angeles, she moved to Lakeland, Florida in December 2007. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lakeland.
    She is survived by two sisters; Helen (Mrs. Sylvan) Paul, De Pere, Wisconsin and Blanche (Mrs. Lloyd) Berken, Lakeland, Florida; a sister-in-law Helen (Mrs. Norbert) Rotzenberg, Hales Corners, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.
    Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Norbert; her sister, Ruth Ann Rotzenberg; and brothers-in-law, Sylvan Paul and Lloyd Berken.
    A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at a later date with burial in the family plot in Askeaton.

    Blanche Berken, Lakeland, Florida, a former Appleton resident, passed away suddenly from a stroke on Sunday, November 29,2009. Blanche was born in Askeaton on July 30, 1922, the daughter of the late Peter and Louise (VandeVoort) Rotzenberg. She graduated from Wrightstown High School and married Lloyd Berken on November 22, 1941. Blanche had 8 children, 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
    Blanche was a devout Catholic who loved the Blessed Mother and had a prayer for everything in the world. She loved playing the piano, bingo, dominos and any kind of card game. She was an avid baseball fan and was thrilled to go to a World Series game. She enjoyed living in Florida, volunteering at the nursing home, and making a nice beef roast for her Great Big Beautiful Family.
    Blanche was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lloyd, her daughter, Patt, daughter-in-law, Jackie, and brother and sisters, Norbert, Ruth and Grace Rotzenberg.
    Blanche is survived by her only son, Peter (Donna Lowe), Appleton; six daughters: Sharon (Bill) Wood, Lafayette, Indiana; Jeannie Berken, Atlanta; Lynda Stack, Sarasota, Florida; Penny (Steven) Forman; Connie (Mike) Cavanagh; and Amy (Joe) Schlosser, all of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Paul. Grandma B. was adored by her 16 grandchildren: Lori (Jim) Bollock, Tammy Wood, Cari McCann, Joelle (Brian) Hamill, Jeffrey Femal, Katie, Sara and Laura Stack, Chris, David (Kelly) and Brad Berken; Chloe Forman, Matt and Nicole Cavanagh and Alex and Hannah Blanche Schlosser. Great-Grandma B. was also cherished by her 12 great-grandchildren: Emily, Casey, and Holly Bollock, Morgan Wood Mantei, Patrick and Brandon McCann, Lauren, Liam and Conner Hamill and Pacey, Erika and Gracie Berken. Blanche will also be missed by many relatives and friends and by her sweet cat, Polly.
    The mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1825 N. McDonald Street in Appleton, with Father Gerald Falk officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Wrightstown. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday and again on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the school children of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida.
    Mom B., Grandma B. and Great-Grandma B. made everyone feel valued, respected and important. She will be remembered for her many unique expressions, but mostly for the one that defined her life, fun, fun, fun. She will remain forever 39!
