    Obituary:
    Lola Nichols, age 94, passed away peacefully at Brewster Village on March 4, 2013. Lola was born in Appleton on July 27, 1918, daughter of the late Carl and Frances (Wagner) Huebner. She attended high school in Neenah, and worked for the Kimberly Clark Corporation prior to her marriage to James Thornton. Jim was killed in the war, and in 1946, Lola married Lloyd Nichols, who also preceded her in death in 1990. In addition to being a busy mother and homemaker, Lola loved bird watching, spending time with her family, summers at the cottage, and shopping with the girls.
    She is survived by nine children Richard Nichols of Menasha; Tim (Jane Stevenson) Nichols of Appleton; Mark (Mardelle) Nichols of Appleton; Lynn (John) Duvall of Little Chute; Kirk (Sandy) Nichols of Appleton; Sue (Don) Butler of Appleton; Joan (Dave) Williamsen of Appleton; Mary Nichols of Appleton; and Chris (Terry) Nichols of Sherwood. Lola also leaves behind eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sr. Carla Huebner and Sr. Rosemarita Huebner, both of Milwaukee; and a sister-in-law: Ethel Ross of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her siblings: Margaret Huebner, Br. Thaddeus Huebner, Sylvia (Marvin) Miller, Dorothy (Harold) Kennedy and Pat (Frank) Bauer; a daughter-in-law: Nancy Nichols; and a brother-in-law: John Ross.
    At the request of the family, a private service is being planned for a later date. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
    Lola's family would like to offer their special thanks to everyone at Brewster Village. From the maintenance men, to Brenda, to Dr. Schultz, everyone gave us so much love and care that we consider them part of our family.

    Dorothy L. Kennedy, age 89, of Shiocton, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2009, at Colony Oaks Care Center in Appleton. She was born on November 17, 1919, in Neenah, daughter of the late Carlton and Frances (Wagner) Huebner. On June 24, 1939, she married Harold Kennedy in Menasha. Following their marriage, they moved to the family farm in Shiocton. After her retirement from Appleton Mills, Dorothy and Harold enjoyed many happy hours camping and fishing.
    She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton and a Charter Member of the Wisconsin Catholic Knights. Besides being a great cook, Dorothy always had a good story for everyone.
    She is survived by her children: Patrick (Lorraine) Kennedy, Redding, California; Diana Kanaman, Neenah; Donald (Dee) Kennedy, Neenah; Carl (Peggy) Kennedy, Shawano; Kathy (Gene) Zuleger, Appleton; grandchildren: Cindy (Jim) Wetta, Kelly (James) Dixon, Brian (Michelle) Plach, Julie Riehl (special friend Steve), Kevin (Lisa) Plach, Richard (Jill) Plach, Chris Kennedy, Koy Kennedy, Bart Kennedy and his fiancee Melissa, Nathan (Angela) Kennedy, Lisa (Eric) Kuhls, John (Nancy) Zuleger; eighteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; three sisters: Lola Nichols, Sister Rosemarita SSND, Sister Carla SSND; brother-in-law, Frank Bauer Sr.; her special friend and roommate Bernice; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 2007; two sisters, Sylvia and Patricia; brothers-in-law, Lloyd and Marvin; Brother Thaddeus and an infant sister Margaret.
    The Funeral Mass for Dorothy will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 6 p.m. at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Shiocton with Fr. John Kastenholz officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Barkmeier, Lisa Gunderson and the staff at Theda Care, Fr. Gerald Falk, and Heartland Hospice. A special thank you to the staff at Colony Oaks for their excellent care and compassion to our mother.
    Mom, thank you for sharing your sense of humor with us. You take a piece of our hearts with you. Love, your children.

    Joan M. Williamsen, age 62, of Appleton passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday morning, February 15, 2016. She was born on September 15, 1953 in Neenah, Wisconsin daughter of the late Lloyd and Lola (Huebner) Nichols. On May 21, 1989 she married David J. Williamsen at Doty Park in Menasha. Their marriage was blessed with almost 28 wonderful years. Joan was the family's party planner and caregiver to her mother, Lola, and sister, Lynn. She enjoyed gardening, kayaking, biking, boating on the Chain of Lakes, and walking her beloved dog, Sadie. Joan's greatest joy was the time she spent with her cherished grandchildren.
    She will be sadly missed by her husband, David; her son, Josh (Dawn) Wanty, Waupaca; her grandchildren: Allexica Moeller; Brelynn, Hunter, and Rielan Wanty; siblings: Richard Nichols, Tim (Janie Stevenson) Nichols, Mark (Mardell) Nichols, Kirk (Sandy) Nichols, Sue (Don) Butler, Mary Nichols, Chris (Terry) Nichols; brother-in-law, John Duvall; siblings-in-law: Barb (Marv) Gossen, Robert (Jan) Williamsen, Thomas Williamsen, Elizabeth Williamsen, William (Kim) Williamsen, Debra (Ronald) McAbee; several nieces, nephews, many friends, and neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lynn Duvall; sister-in-law, Nancy Nichols; and a nephew, Dan Butler.
    The Funeral Service for Joan will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Joan's name.
