Willard H. Lamm, age 90, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at Cherry Meadows Hospice on Friday, June 28, 2017. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, August 4, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Appleton. Friends may visit directly at the church on Friday from 9 am until 10:45 am. A complete obituary will appear in Wednesday's Post Crescent.

    7/31/2017
Willard H. Lamm, age 90, passed away peacefully at Cherry Meadows Hospice on July 28, 2017 related to Congestive Heart Failure. He was born in the (township of Ellington) near Hortonville on October 22, 1926 to the late Paul and Marie (Hofacker) Lamm. Willard graduated from Hortonville High School and then attended Appleton Vocational School studying mechanical drafting. On June 10, 1950 he married his high school sweetheart, Sylvia Reininger, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville.
While living in rural Hortonville, he both farmed and worked as a draftsman at the Four Wheel Drive in Clintonville. In 1967 Willard moved to Appleton with his wife and five children. He continued to work as a draftsman at Allis Chalmers, then Miller Electric, until his retirement. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church where he volunteered on the church cleaning and grounds crew. He also volunteered at Loaves and Fishes meal site.
Willard was an active, hardworking, analytical kind of guy. His love for the outdoors and nature continued his entire life. His past times included pheasant hunting; gardening (he was especially fond of onions) and watching the birds, squirrels and ducks feed in his back yard. Everyone who knew him became aware of his passion for fishing, or more clearly, catching fish. Making structures out of wood was another favorite activity. He especially liked to build (and then give away) BINGO wheels; wheel barrels; and geese lawn ornaments. Polka music, parades, and good food were other things he greatly enjoyed. He valued his faith, friends, and above all his family. We all hold many happy memories of him having a great time at family picnics and dinners. He always looked forward to the next family gathering.
Willard is survived by four daughters: Jane (Alvin) Grendzinski, Maplewood, MN, Betty (David) Hucek, Appleton, Nancy (Richard) Happ, New Bern, NC, and Donna (Raymond) Meyer, Larsen, WI; a son Richard (fiancé Yvonne) Lamm, Appleton; six grandchildren: Phillip (Darcy) Grendzinski, Chrystal, MN, Diane Grendzinski, Maplewood, MN, Brian Hucek, Madison, Sally Meyer, Oshkosh, Karen Meyer, Appleton and Shelly Meyer, Appleton; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Lamm, De Pere. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; three newborn daughters; his parents; his brothers Joseph Lamm and newborn brother Norman Lamm; mother and father-in-law William and Anna Reininger; and brother and sister-in-law Ervin and Loretta Platt.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, August 4, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2331 E. Lourdes Drive, Appleton with Father Zuleger officiating. Friends and relatives may visit at the church on Friday from 9 am until 10:45 am. Internment will take place at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Hortonville. A memorial fund has been established.
Willard's family would like to express appreciation and thanks to his friends, relatives and neighbors who supported him after Mom passed away, and during his illness. Also, special thanks to Willard's medical team: Dr. Aditya Rangbulla; Dr. Nancy Homburg; and the Cherry Meadows Hospice staff. Your compassion and skills were of comfort to Willard in his final months of life.
Good-bye for now Dad. We know you'll be checking out the best fishing spots in heaven. We're pretty certain that the fish are biting every day there, and also, there likely is no limit. We love you, and will miss you!

We express our sincere gratitude to all who were so good to Annie through the years, and these past 14 days at AMC. Especially Fr Dan Felton, Fr Walter Stumpf, Fr Ricardo Basquinez, Fr Charlie Brooks, Deacon Jeff Hofacker - your visits made Annie feel very special. Nieces Kim and Sue for bringing communion every day, Tina for making her feel like a princess last Saturday, all of the family that sat with us and prayed with Annie around the clock, and provided food (especially those chocolate chip cookies, and banana muffins) for all of us to share. To: Fr Justin Werner, Fr Norman Krutzik, Fr Willard VanDeLoo, Fr Louis Vermeeresh, Deacon Joe Lehman, and Deacon Ray Ambrosious your prayers and support through the years with Annie will never be forgotten.
Annie was like a mother, aunt, sister, child to all of our family. She seldom complained unless of course we were running low on "supplies". She enjoyed spending time these past two years on her little vacations to the brown cabin, stopping to get ice cream and French fries on the way up or back, going to Rico's whenever she could and Mary's Place dumpling soup. She was a very faith filled woman and prayed the rosary as often as she could with Mother Angelica at 8:30pm. This past week she even got the see the ocean via facetime while visiting with her Miss Megan in California. It was obviously on Annie's bucket list based on the excitement in her voice when she told her next visitors that she got to see the ocean. Recently she discovered the joy and beauty of getting her nails done by Lexi 1st coat 2nd coat, then don't forget the clear stuff. She displayed every new color proudly. Annie also had a strong love for animals especially "Patch" the kitty cat, Starburst and Peaches the fish, and the bow wows most notably the one with the blue tag.
Thank you to all of her medical care givers; Dr. Deb Ralston and staff, the 8th floor team at AMC and Louise, Beth, and Melissa with Theda Care Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the greatest gift that you can give in Annie's memory is to spend time with the less fortunate, and visit the sick and lonely in your community and those in our hospitals and nursing home.
To Mag and the old man (as Annie would say) - we know that you have went before us to prepare a special place for Annie in heaven. We commend her soul to Jesus and you for eternal keeping.
Annie your time has come to be free of all ailments. We love you dearly. You have taught us more than anyone knows, and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Don't let the bed bugs bite Donna!

Most recently he held the position of Outagamie County Board Supervisor and Town of Center Chairman.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Nick's name for St. Edward School, as Nick's heart was always with the little children.
Nick loved God and family above all else, and he valued a hard day's work. He enjoyed simple things in life: nature, mowing the lawn, talking to other farmers across the Midwest, his dogs and peacocks, a clean pick-up truck, a good deal on a piece of machinery, a frozen Hershey bar, and an ice-cold Coke. He never failed to appreciate the woods in all of its beautiful seasons. Some of his happiest moments were enjoyed around the fire pit, surrounded by his wife, kids and grandchildren…and an endless supply of Schwan's bars. Anyone who knew Nick will think of him when they see an antique tractor, a shiny fire truck, a classic episode of Seinfeld, or a cock-eyed farmer's cap.
Special thanks to the Center First Responders, the Emergency Cardiac Team at Appleton Medical Center, Father Dan Felton, Deacon Jeff Hofacker, and all who were with us on Saturday morning.
Papa, you were the best of everything to all of us. We are truly blessed to have had you in our lives. We will love you and miss you forever. As you would say, "God love".

Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She was "Grandma Maggie" to many children and a mother figure to many. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and was deeply devoted to her parish family, her faith in God, and helping those in need.
Maggie was granted her wish of having a living wake with the many family and friends who visited her at home throughout the past few weeks.

He was so small when born that he could fit into a cig ar box. Bill’s parents Henry and Sylvia struggled for years helping him le arn to walk, so that in life ahead, he could make it like you and I. In h is years in high school he would use a grocery cart to put his books in, a nd use it for getting from class to class. Bill was bound and determin ed to make it, though his legs were crippled, his head was strong. Bill d id income tax work and various bookkeeping jobs throughout his entire lif e. Bill was left with a fair share of money from his parents wills, so th at when his legs couldn’t do what he wanted them to do he could at least h ave a life ahead of him. Bill was scammed out of his money by people w ho he thought were his friends, but were nothing more than scum of the ear th. This is why Bill decided that life had to be better. May the justice s ystem prevail in this matter and may all the prayers from his family and h is good friends let him rest in peace with God in Heaven. Obituary:
Robert W. Nolan, 64, passed away on Jan. 6, 2012, in Phoenix, Ariz., doing what he loved best, golfing. He was born in Appleton, Wis., on Feb. 7, 1947. He attended Xavier High School and Appleton West High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Rita Kohl, on Sept. 4, 1965. His first daughter, Michelle, was born in 1967 and his second daughter, Lisa, in 1969. They raised their family in Weyauwega, where they have been until the present.
He was a salesman all his life. He sold Catholic magazines at 16 years of age. He then went on to sell shoes at Big Shoe Store in Appleton. He started selling for Mory Distributing, Sysco, where he sold meat to many fine restaurants, schools and supper clubs, The Pine Tree being one of his favorites. He had his own shoe store in Waupaca, Step-In-Shoe Store, in the 70s and 80s. He started selling potatoes for Loretzen Farms and went on to start his own business, White Lake Marketing, where he was known as Potato Bob.
Bob loved baseball, the Green Bay Packers, shooting pool, fishing, hunting, painting and most of all, golf. He loved spending time with his family. He will always be remembered as the Life Of The Party! Bob had a way of making friends with complete strangers and putting smiles on their faces with his witty sense of humor. This was never more evident than in his last hours before his passing.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Rita; his daughter, Michelle, and husband, Bart, along with their sons, Spencer Nolan Young, who is majoring in Graphic Arts at St. Norbert College in De Pere, where he shares the same passion for art as his Grandfather, Hunter Young, who excelled in high school football for the Shiocton Chiefs. Grandpa loved to see his H-Train run. He was so excited to go to Madison to see them play at State; daughter, Lisa, and husband, Keith, along with their daughters, Megan (fiance, Eric Ewert) and Emily. Megan will always be her Grandpa's "Pookie" as she was his first grandchild. He was so proud of her being such a great mom and loved spending time with his only great-grandchild, Brock. Emily, Grandpa's little "Emmerz", will be remembered by her grandfather as a strong lady and a free spirit like himself. He is further survived by brothers, Dave (Chris) Nolan, son, Jared, and daughters, Kara and Kelsey; Gary Nolan, sons, Ryan and Christopher; sister, Laurie (Randy) Miller, son, Cody, and daughter, Casey, who always had a special place in her uncle's heart; sister Cheryl's children, Scott and Randy Endres, and daughter, Heather Gryboski. He is also survived by Rita's large family of brothers and sisters, all who held there own special place in Bob's heart as well.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Angie; father, Carrol; stepfather, Loyal Leach; loving sister, Cheryl Nolan; father-in-law, Lawrence Kohl; and mother-in-law, Agnes Kohl.
A visitation and celebration of Bob's life will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at St John's Church and Center for Inner Peace, in New London (1513 Pinewood Lane). Friends and family may visit from 4 to 6:30 p.m. with service to follow. The Rev. Paul Feider will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

    Obituary:
Hope Elizabeth Hofacker was born asleep in Christ on Thursday, April 5, 2001, and is now one of God's little angels. She will be sadly missed by her parents, Jeffrey and Laura (Smet) Hofacker, Appleton; her older brother, Lathan. She also leaves behind her grandparents, Paul Hofacker, Mary Ellen Hofacker and Clarence (Margaret) Smet; aunts and uncles, Dan Hofacker, Greg (Jodi) Hofacker, Jenny (fiance Andy Strelow) Hofacker, Tom (Sue) Smet, Sue (Bob) Christensen, Joann (Lenny) Smurawa, Bob Smet, Linda (Mike) Nolan and John (Renee) Smet. Hope is further survived by her cousins, Collin, Caden, Craig, Adam, Nicole, Paul, Jerrod, Gary, Janice, Trisha and Erica. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at St. Edward Catholic Church, N2921 State Highway 47, Appleton, with Father Charles Brooks officiating. Visitation will be from 9- 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment in St. Edward Cemetery will follow the service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Appleton Medical Center and also to clergy, family and friends for all of their support and prayers. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established in Hope's name. When God calls little children to dwell with Him above, We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares with the death of one small child Who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold. So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but few To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try. The saddest word mankind knows will always be goodbye. So when a little child departs, we who are left behind Must realize God loves children, angels are hard to find. Valley Funeral Home 2211 N. Richmond St. 733-5435
