Jean Margaret (Van Den Heuvel) Lewis, 89, Green Bay, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015. She was born June 9, 1926, in Bellevue to Anton and Wilhelmina (Weiland) Van Den Heuvel. Jean graduated from Green Bay East High School. On January 31, 1948, she married Harland R. "Doc" Lewis. He preceded her in death July 6, 2011.
Jean was a member of the VFW Winecki Post #9677 Ladies' Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing cards, especially playing bridge.
She is survived by five children and their spouses, Sally and Gene Landwehr, Mike and Pattie Lewis, Marty and Renee Lewis, Ted and Dawn Lewis, Andy and Jenny Lewis; her grandchildren, Tony (Yui) Landwehr, Lara (Bryan) Drown, Angie Lewis, Eric Lewis, Meghan Lewis, Hannah Lewis, Liam O'Hanlon, Sarah (Luke) Zepnick, Becky Lewis and Noah Lewis; two great granddaughters, Ravyn and Camille Drown; a brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Mary Van Den Heuvel, sisters-in-law, Liz Belognia, Bev Lewis, Lee (Don) Stascak; a brother-in-law, Ray Gerlikowski; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Matthew Lewis; her parents; four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon Saturday, October 3rd, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. Funeral Services will be held at noon Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. To send online condolences visit www.prokowall.com
