    Obituary:
    Beatrice D. Reavis, age 98, formerly of Shiocton, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King. Beatrice was born on February 7, 1914, in Outagamie County, daughter of the late George and Hallie (Peebles) Barker. She graduated from Shiocton High School and then attended Teachers College in Kaukauna. Beatrice enlisted in the US Army and served during WWII. She was employed at Appleton Juvenile Furniture for many years and retired from Zwikers, Appleton in 1974. She was a life long member of the Shiocton First Congregational Church, where she was involved in the Willing Workers and served as superintendent/treasurer and taught Sunday school as well. Beatrice was a member of American Legion Post 512, Women's Auxiliary 512 and did volunteer work at the King veterans home. She had at love for all animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her sister.
    Beatrice is survived by her daughter Darlene (Roger) Merson; grandchildren: Gregg (Kris) Colwitz; Randy (Boni) Colwitz; Matthew (Rachael) Colwitz and Chad (Laura) Colwitz. Great-grandchildren: Leah (Brian) Kern; Kimberly (Corey) Heuttl; Jared Colwitz; Britney Colwitz; Alyssa Colwitz; Eric Colwitz; Timothy Colwitz and Abigail Colwitz and great-great-grandchildren, Landon and Mason Kern. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Arliss Barker and many other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Bernice (Marvin) Schrieber, Bulah (Aldof) Otto and a brother, Glen Barker.
    Funeral services for Beatrice will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church, Shiocton with Rev. Michael Isbell officiating. Burial will be in the Shiocton Bovina Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carol, Christy, Cathy, Barb and other staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, King and also a special thank you to Pastor Rich Engle.
