Obituary:
Ron Gassner, Kaukauna, age 77, died peacefully on Monday March 6, 2017 at his residence, following a battle with cancer. He was born September 21, 1939. Ron worked as a carpenter in the area and was known for his excellent work and attention to detail. He was always seen and heard whistling, he earned the nickname "the whistler" at work.
He is survived by his sons: Scott, Kimberly and Jeff (special friend Brenda Vest), Ottumwa, Iowa; special friend and comrade, Elaine Smith, Kaukauna; sister-in-law, Sandy Gassner, Appleton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane and brother, Ed.
Funeral services for Ron will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr.
