    Vanden Elzen, Elizabeth "Li z"Elizabeth "Liz" Vanden Elzen, 87, De Pere, died Saturday morning, Nov. 1 9, 2005, in a local hospital. The daughter of the late Reinhard and Del ia (Scray) Vanden Elzen was born October 8, 1918, in the town of Rocklan d. On June 9, 1945, she married John Vanden Elzen at St. Mary's Chur ch in DePere. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1985. Liz was a caregiv er all her life and enjoyed the outdoors and playing cards.Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann and Barry Schumerth, one son, Pat rick and Mary Vanden Elzen, De Pere, her grandchildren, Jay and Wendy Schu merth, Dale and Cornell Schumerth Kyle and Lisa Schumerth, and Amanda a nd Evan Vanden Elzen great-grand children, Noah, Annika, Justin and Soph ie Schumerth.She was preceded in death by her husband, John, one daughter, Betsy Vand en Elzen, and her siblings, Cecelia Hannon, John Van Deurzen, Francis V an Deurzen, Leo Van Deurzen, Sister Odile, Josephine Hager and Joseph V an Deurzen.The visitation for Mrs. Vanden Elzen will be held on Monday morning at S t.     Florence (Faunie) Marie Van Sistine, 75, Allouez, died of cancer at ho me on Tuesday morning May 25, 2004, in the company of her loving family. T he daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Hermsen) Scray was born Mar ch 2, 1929, in the Town of Rockland. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Acad emy and lived in the area all of her life. On July 1, 1950, she married Do nald N. Van Sistine at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere. Faunie loved d ecorating the numerous homes in which her family resided and decorated wi th a wonderful talent and flair. She enjoyed entertaining and hosting gre at dinners with her family and friends, who meant everything to her. Faun ie loved the time she got to spend babysitting her grandchildren. She w as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and also, business partner in t he Van Sistine Hardware Store in De Pere. She was very proud of her Hallma rk Card Shop in the store. Mrs. Van Sistine was president of the Christi an Mothers Society at St. Mary Parish in De Pere and was a volunteer wi th the American Cancer Society, supporting breast cancer patients.

Faun ie is further survived by her sisters, Martha (Bill) Geenan, Rosemary McMo nagle, Loretta (Jim) Rock, two brothers, Edgar (Barb) Scray, Herbert (Ma ry Jane) Scray and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Peter, three brother s, Norbert, Joseph, and George and one sister, Katherine.

    Scray Herbert “Herbie”Herbert “Herbie” F. Scray, 69, Howard, died Wednesday Oct. 6, 200 4, at an area hospital after a sudden illness surrounded by his family. He rbie was born Dec. 12, 1934, in De Pere the son of the late Edward and Eli zabeth (Hermsen) Scray. On Oct. 22, 1960, he was united in marriage to t he former Mary Jane Vanden Bush at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church. Herbie ow ned and operated Scray Overhead Doors . He enjoyed working, helping othe rs with projects and spending time at his Hilbert Lake cottage which he bu ilt. Herbie was a fun loving person and especially enjoyed time with his g randchildren and buddies.     James (Jim) M. Deiter, 38, San Diego, Calif., died in a motorcycle accident on Aug. 27, 2010, in San Diego.
    He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Becca) Nowicki; his mother, JoAnne (Annie) Hager, De Pere; and brother, Mark Deiter, Louisville, Ky.
    A celebration of Jim's life will be held Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010. Full obituary to follow.
    James (Jim) M. Deiter, 38 , San Diego, Calif., died Aug. 27, 2010, in a motorcycle accident in San Diego.
    He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Rebecca (Becca) Nowicki; his mother, JoAnne (Annie) Hager, De Pere; brother, Mark Deiter, Louisville, KY; Becca's father, James Nowicki, Green Bay; mother, Kate Nowicki, Milwaukee; sister, Jennifer Nowicki, Madison; two special uncles, Dan (Duke) Hager and John Hager; and special aunts, Marge Hager and Char Hager; his uncle, Dennis (Mick) Hager; and many cousins.
    Jim was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Delas (Pete) and Josephine (Van Deurzen) Hager, and two uncles, Jim Hager and Don Hager.
    Jim is a 1990 graduate of De Pere High School. After attending several Midwestern universities, he graduated with a Master's Degree in American Cultural Studies from Bowling Green State University in 2002. He was employed by Bridgepoint University in CA. Jim married Rebecca Nowicki on June 1, 2002, in Green Bay, after a long relationship.
    Jim was truly a free spirit, and he loved his hobbies. He was an avid skateboarder, played guitar and was learning to play the mandolin. His recent obsession was designing and building motorized bicycles. He loved to hike, bike, camp and watch post-apocalyptic and zombie movies and bad '60s and '70s dystopian sci-fi. He enjoyed reading, history, music and lively conversation. He actively fought for social justice issues and equality for everyone. Most of all, he loved playing with his cats and his Corgi puppy, Dugan. Jim also enjoyed a really good beer!
    The family is going to celebrate Jim's life on Sept. 7, 2010, at the Sports Corner, 500 Grant St., De Pere, from 5 to 8 p.m. with time to offer reflections of Jim.
    No flowers, please. Bring a memory to share. Jim felt strongly about many organizations. In lieu of flowers, contributions will be made in his name.
    We will miss you, soulmate, son, brother, nephew and friend.
