    ST. JOHN WOMAN DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER
    Special to Post-Crescent Sherwood-Mrs. Frank Raab, 59, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ben Fink at St. John late Monday of heart disease. She had been ill a week. Mrs. Raab had lived her entire life in this vicinity. Survivors are the widower, and three daughters, Mrs. Paul Lopas, Forest Junction; Mrs. Theodore Bloy, St. John and Mrs. Ben Fink, St John; two brothers, Mike Fisch, Greenville and Jake Fisch, Milford, Iowa; six sisters, Anna Fisch, Manitowoc; Mrs. Henry Giesen, Sherwood; Mrs. George Prechtel, Milwaukee; Mrs. George Star, Milwaukee; Mrs. John Guthrie, Milwaukee; Mrs. Fred Gillete, Wilmette, Ill and eight grand children. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at St. John church, the Rev. Father Ruppold, oficiating. Burial will be in the St. John cemetery.

    Mrs. Clara M. Bloy
    Forest Junction Age 83, died Friday, July 21, 1978 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Appleton, following a short illness. She was born December 21, 1894 in the town of Woodville. Her parents were the late Frank & Elizabeth Fisch Raab. She married Walter Krueger in 1914 and he preceed her in death in 1920. In 1925 she married Theodore Bloy. He preceded her in death in 1959. They farmed in the Town of Woodville until 1941 and then farmed in the Town of Brillion until 1959. She moved to Forest Junction and was the cook at Forest Junction Elementary School for 18 years. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Forest Junction and a member of the Ladies Aid and the Open Door Bible Class. Survivors include two daughters; Mrs. Glen (Vivian) Hacker, Rt. 1 Brillion; Mrs. Gerald (Audrey) Elsner, Green Bay; three sons: Roger Roy Krueger, Appleton; Melvin Krueger, Appleton; Rev. Wilmer Bloy, Milwaukee; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters.! The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion United Methodist Church, Forest Junction, with the Rev. Mark Swanson officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. Sunday until 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, and then at the church 9 a.m. until the hour of service.

    Vivian Hacker, age 91, of Kiel, died following her battle with cancer on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Century Ridge in Chilton. She was born in the Town of Woodville on April 20, 1916, daughter of the late Walter Krueger and Clara (Raab) Krueger Bloy. She was a 1934 graduate of Kaukauna High School. On November 26, 1936, she was united in marriage to Glenn W. Hacker in Forest Junction. He preceded her in death on September 21, 1979. On December 28, 1982, she married Raymond C. Schreiber of Kiel, who also preceded her in death on January 12, 1994. Vivian worked on the family farm in the Town of Brillion. She also managed the elementary school hot lunch program in Forest Junction and, later, the Brillion High School hot lunch program for a total of 24 years. She was always active in church activities, being a Sunday school teacher at Forest Junction Evangelical United Brethren Church for 30 years, a member of the United Methodist Women of Forest Junction and St. Peters United Church of Christ Women's Guild in Kiel. Vivian gave time and leadership to the Calumet County 4-H, serving on the County Leaders Council for four years, and as a leader for the Forest Junction Ever Ready Club for 26 years. She enjoyed creative cooking, gardening, quilting, traveling, studying and understanding the natural environment, and learning about different cultures. Vivian also enjoyed daily morning breakfasts with her friends at the Riverview, as well as playing games with relatives and friends. She loved life to the fullest and still found space to listen for the spirit's call.
    Survivors include her children: Laurel (Gary) Vondrachek, Kiel; Dr. Roger R. (Esther) Hacker, Ontario, Canada; Byron G. (Judy) Hacker, Chilton; Leon J. (Susan) Hacker, Michigan; 10 grandchildren: Vicky (John) Hopp, Mary (Don) Middleton, Annette (Scott) Fryzel, Christine (Pat) Silvestro, Nathan G. (Karynne) Hacker, Jeffery B. (Melanie) Hacker, Marissa L. Hacker and special friend Scott, Amy (Caleb) Enter, Aaron (Crystal) Hacker, Andrew (Erica) Hacker; 21 great-grandchildren; half brother and sister: Rev. Wilmer (Lee) Bloy, Sun Prairie; Audrey (Jerry) Elsner, Ashwaubenon; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ross (Arlene) Hacker, Arizona; Arnold (Mary Ann) Enneper, New Holstein, and Arlene Krueger, Appleton. Vivian is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    She was also preceded in death by her two brothers: Melvin and Roy Krueger.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at St. Peters UCC in Kiel, with the Rev. Judine Duerwaechter officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Junction. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, when service will be held. Wieting Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Hetzner, the Calumet Medical Center Staff, the Calumet Homestead Staff and the Staff of Century Ridge for all of the loving care that Vivian was provided.

    Donald P. Lopas, age 76, of Post Lake, formerly of the Appleton area died on September 21, 2014 at Eastview Medical and Rehab Center in Antigo after battling many diseases including myofibrillar myopathies.
    He was born August 5, 1938 in Forest Junction, WI to the late Elmer Lopas and Toni Lopas Grissman.
    On April 4, 1959 he was united in marriage to Darlene Van Handel. He attended St. John's school in Little Chute. He retired from Fox River Paper in 2001 and moved to Post Lake. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho. He enjoyed cooking breakfast with the Holy Family's Men's Club. He was a former board member of the Post Lake Improvement Association. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, sheepshead and boat rides and spending time with family and friends.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Darlene; his children Greg (Kim) Lopas of Kimberly, Kris (Tim) Rau of Three Lakes, Doug (Katie) Lopas of Orlando, FL, Ken (Jenny Friday) Lopas of Wausau, Barney (Lori) Lopas of Anaheim, CA, grandchildren; Scott, Adam (Jesse) Weeman, James Rau, Logan, Cassie, Skylar, Courtney, Gunnar, Justine Lopas, a brother Bob (Donna) Lopas, sister-in-laws; Sandy and Linda Lopas; brother-in-laws Dick (Donna) Van Handel and Roger Green.
    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Tom and Dave Lopas, a sister-in-law Karen Green, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Art Van Handel and his stepfather Jerry Grissman.
    A memorial mass will be Thursday at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho. Father David Zimmerman will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 at the church on Thursday.
    A gathering will take place Thursday in Appleton at Highland Memorial Park from 3:30PM until 4:15PM in the Star of Hope Chapel with a prayer service at 4:15 PM.

He marr ied the former Sandra Gerhartz on Sept. 26, 1968, at St. Mary's in Kaukaun a. She survives. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. He also w as a fanatic and loyal Minnesota Vikings fan who loved to see the Vikin gs beat the Packers. Tom will be missed by all who knew him.He is survived by his wife: Sandy; a daughter: Lisa (special friend, Sco tt Johnson) Lopas; three brothers: Don and Dar Lopas, Bob and Donna Lop as and Dave and Linda Lopas; his stepfather, Jerry Grissman; a brother a nd sister-in-law, Paul and Carol Biese; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, n ieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, V ic and Germila Gerhartz.Tom's memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at HOLY CR OSS CATHOIC CHURCH in Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being est ablished in Tom's name. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, assis ted the family, 766-2099.The family would like to thank the staff on the 2nd floor and the sub acu te department at St. E's as well as the staff who cared for Tom at UW Hosp ital in Madison for their love and support.

    David "Trini" Lopas, 66, Kimberly, passed away on April 22, 2014. Trini was born on February 15, 1948 to the late Elmer and Toni (VanRoy) Lopas in Appleton. On August 14, 1976 he married the former Linda Wachtendonck at Holy Name Catholic Church. He was a long time employee with Thilmany Paper, retiring last year. David's children and grandchildren meant the world to him. Most of all he loved time with his family. David loved sports of all kinds but especially loved the Kimberly Papermakers. He was a regular at the games and rarely missed one. He also liked the Brewers, Badgers, Packers and NASCAR.
    He will be sadly missed by: his wife Linda; his children: Tamie Lopas, Kimberly and her son Landon; Jenny (Matt) Brans, Kimberly and their sons Cole and Carson; Scott (Tiff) Lopas, Kaukauna and a soon to arrive grandchild David called "Little P", expected in July; 2 brothers; Don (Darlene) Lopas; Bob (Donna) Lopas; sister-in-law Sandy Lopas; Linda's entire family and many other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Tom Lopas.
    A celebration of Trini's life will be held on Friday April 25, 2014 at The Mariner, 1100 Hyland Avenue in Kaukauna from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
