Obituary:
Gerald E. Brockman, 'Jerry', 62, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 4, 2016. He was born May 24, 1954, in Appleton, son of Emory and Marion (Muenster) Brockman. He married Sharon K. Knapp on November 11, 1978, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. Jerry worked as a ink technician for Menasha Corporation for over 35 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being with his family especially the grandkids, at the family cottage on Anderson Lake.
Jerry is survived by his children: Matthew Brockman, Appleton; Becky (Chris) Gibson, Appleton; Amy (Chris) Firgens, Appleton; three grandchildren: Peyton and Kaylin Gibson and Wyatt Fergins; a brother, Lee (Barb) Brockman, Appleton; father-in-law, Maynard Knapp. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; sisters: Sharon and Barbara and mother-in-law, Bernice Knapp.
Services for Jerry will be held at 11 am Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, 912 N. Oneida St. Appleton, with Rev. John Czarnota officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 4 - 7 PM at Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel and again on Saturday, directly at church from 9:30 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
