    Wilma B. Springstroh, 84, Appleton, passed away after a long illness Friday, March 14, 2008, at Rennes Health Center. She was born Oct. 12, 1923, in the Town of Freedom, to the late George and Martha (Kuschel) Springstroh. Wilma worked on the family farm until her employment at AAL as a clerk in the Insurance Department. She worked for them for over 35 years. Wilma was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Freedom. She loved to visit with friends and relatives and also enjoyed her crafts.
    Wilma is survived by her brother, Carl (Lorna) Springstroh, Appleton; sister, Ruth Springstroh, Appleton; three nieces, Debra (Joe) Eches, Judy Luebtke and Shelly Passehl; six nephews, Bob (Lynn) Passehl, Jack (Anita) Passehl, Bruce (Carol) Springstroh, Steve (Rebecca) Springstroh, Alan (Doris) Springstroh and Hugh (Raelene) Springstroh. She is further survived by 13 great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
    Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ellen (Alvin) Passehl; and a nephew, George Passehl
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Freedom, with the Rev. Ronald Ash officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends and family may visit at the church from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
    The family would like to thank the staffs of Rennes and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care of Wilma.

    Obituary:
    Carl William Springstroh, age 81, of Kiel and formerly of Appleton died peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at his home with his wife at his side.
    Carl was born October 13, 1930 son of the late George and Martha (Kuschel) Springstroh in Freedom, Wisconsin. Following his education Carl served his country with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. He was united in marriage to Lorna M. Langohr on October 23, 1954 in Bailey's Harbor, Wisconsin. Carl and his wife Lorna resided in the Appleton area most of their lives together, where he was employed with August Winter and Sons as a sheet metal fabricator for 35 years. He was a member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of New Holstein and a former member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Appleton. Carl was also a member of the Grand Chute VFW Post 8642. Carl was an avid sportsman, enjoying golf, hunting and mostly fishing, but was a sports fan as well watching and attending the Packers and Brewers games with his family and friends.
    Carl is lovingly survived by his wife, Lorna of 57 years, their children, Bruce (Carol) Springstroh, Fond du Lac; Steve (Rebecca) Springstroh, Appleton; Alan (Dori) Springstroh, Random Lake; Hugh (Raeline) Springstroh, Kiel; eight grandchildren, Nicole (Andrew) Marek, Aric (Diedra) Springstroh, Cory (Melissa) Springstroh, Karen and Andrew Feld, Heather (Josh) LeMieux, Wesley Collins, Kurt Evenson, and Jill (Chris) Jost, ten great-grandchildren, a Goddaughter, Debra (Joe) Eckes, Milwaukee; and two brothers-in-law, Orville (Dee) Langohr, Cleveland; and Marvin (Ann) Langohr, Bailey's Harbor. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth and Wilma Springstroh and Ellen (Alvin) Passell.
    The funeral service will be held 11 AM on Monday, June 11, 2012 from the funeral home with Pastor Jennifer Kuhnert officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Carl's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 9 AM until the hour of service. A memorial fund is being established for Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, New Holstein, Wisconsin.
