    Moder, Bernice M. (Mrs. Lawrence Moder)Bernice M. Moder, age 91, of Hortonville, passed away on Monday, Mar ch 6, 2006, at her residence. Bernice was born on September 9, 1914, in Da le, daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Balliet) Hoffman. On Octob er 8, 1938, Bernice married Lawrence Moder in Appleton. He preceded h er in death in 1988. Bernice loved to bake and was dedicated to her fami ly and church. She was a longtime member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Chur ch in Hortonville and was a member of the Christian Mothers for over 60 ye ars where she served as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasure r.She is survived by three daughters: Barbara (John) Quinn, New London; Elai ne Dorn, Lodi; Laurel Ethier, Rio Rancho, New Mexico; a son, Bill Moder, H ortonville; six grandchildren: Kevin (Andi) Quinn; Jeff (Ann) Dorn; Greg ( Erin) Dorn; Nick (Sandie) Ethier; Brian Ethier and Sarah Ethier and also s ix great-grandchildren. She is further survived by several nieces and neph ews.Besides her parents and husband Bernice is preceded in death by a grands on Ryan Quinn, two brothers: John and Francis, a sister Hope Dunlop and t wo sisters in-law: Arlean Sorenson and Clara Hoffman.Funeral mass for Bernice will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 11 a. m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville with Rev. Msgr. Jam es Feely officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may c all at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A mem orial fund has been established for Ss. Peter & Paul Building Debt or Hort onville Public Library.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Fredric Hildebr and Jr., Affinity Hospice, the Caring Angels and also the many friends w ho supported and helped Bernice during her recent illness.     William L. "Billy" Moder, age 49, of Hortonville, died on Thursday, March 8, 2007. He was born on September 10, 1957, in New London, son of the late Lawrence & Bernice (Hoffman) Moder. Billy graduated from Hortonville High School with the Class of 1975. He worked at Curwood in New London for over 20 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and sports. He will be sadly missed by his relatives and many friends who meant a great deal to him. He is survived by three sisters: Barbara (John) Quinn, New London; Elaine Dorn, Lodi; Laurel Ethier, Rio Rancho, New Mexico; nieces and nephews: Kevin (Andi) Quinn, Jeff (Ann) Dorn, Greg (Erin) Dorn, Nicholas (Sandee) Ethier, Brian Ethier, Sarah Ethier. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Ryan Quinn. The memorial service that will celebrate Billy's life will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville. Friends may call directly at the funeral on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established. A special thank you to the Hortonville Police and paramedics.
