    Koehnke, Marcella P. (nee Endter): Marcella P. Koehnke (nee Endter), Appleton, age 93, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007, at the Golden Homes care facility where she resided since August 2004. She was born March 26, 1914, to the late Fred and Clara (Schubring) Endter and married Howard N. Koehnke in 1933 in Appleton. Howard preceded her in death in April 1987.

    Koehnke, Howard W.: Howard W. Koehnke, of Fremont, age 72, passed away after a lengthy battle with emphysema at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, March 2, 2006. Howard was born September 22, 1933 in Appleton, the son of Howard N. and Marcella (Endter) Koehnke. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1954. Howard worked for various local construction companies as a carpenter and at Hortonville Manufacturing Company. He was a master of his trade and intricately put together models of his projects prior to actual building. His joy came with building things for friends and relatives.

    Koehnke, David P. "Toast" David P. Koehnke, Menasha, age 44, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 31, 2008. He was born September 19, 1963, in Neenah, son of Howard and Luanne (Hoolihan) Koehnke. David served in the U.S. Army for eight years where he was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, Germany and Ft. Lewis in Tacoma, WA. David worked as a mechanic for the Borchert family farm. He was paralyzed following a swimming accident. For the last ten years David overcame many obstacles and was still the center of his family. He enjoyed NASCAR, being at the family cottage and the outdoors, and going for walks with his children.
    Survivors include his four children: Bryan Koehnke, Jennifer Koehnke, Nicole Koehnke and their mother, Anne Birling; Christine Koehnke and her mother, Shelby Koehnke; three grandchildren: Kaylee, Porter and Mary Jane and another granddaughter due in October; his mother, Luanne Nelson; a brother, Bill (Connie) Koehnke; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cat, "T".
    David was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Christine Frank; his grandparents; and his father-in-law, Dennis Meyer Sr.
    Memorial services for David will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2008, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Rev. Stephen Dietzler officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion Post #60 from Kimberly. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name.
    The family would like to thank all the people who touched our lives and helped David with his care over the years.

    Aaron Frank, Appleton, passed away at his home on Saturday afternoon, March 5, 2011. He was born in Abington, Penn., on September 15, 1982, son of Thomas Frank of Appleton, and the late Christine (Koehnke) Frank. Aaron graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His degree was in journalism.
    Aaron was quick-witted and funny, and he was a gifted writer. He authored many writings, including a screenplay. Aaron was also a gifted musician who enjoyed reading and watching classic movies.
    He is survived by his parents, Tom (Diane) Frank, Appleton; five brothers and sisters, Nicholas (Maureen) McLain, Madison; Kelly (Andrew Naughton) McLain, Minneapolis, and their daughters, Estelle and June; Ryan (Sarah) McLain, Chicago; Rachel Frank, Madison; and Allie Frank, at home; his maternal grandmother, Luanne Koehnke Nelson, Appleton; his paternal grandparents, Paul and Irene Frank, Jr., King; and by Diane's father, Edgar Theyerl, and his good friend, Pat.
    Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Christine, in 1991.
    A celebration of Aaron's life will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at the funeral home chapel, 3212 S. Oneida Street in Menasha. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the hour of the service. Following the service, Aaron will join his mother, Christine, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for an area crisis referral center.
