    Obituary:
    David L. Kilgas, Kaukauna Age 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Cherry Meadows Hospice, surrounded by family. He was born August 8, 1930, son of the late Norbert and Agnes (Gillen) Kilgas. He met his future wife while in high school and after a five year courtship he married Frances "Franny" Huss on June 20, 1953. Together they celebrated over 58 years of marriage. Dave was a proud US Army Veteran, who served honorably in the Korean War. He was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Kaukauna Lions Club, and Veterans of Foreign War Post #3319. Dave was employed for nearly 40 years at Thilmany until his retirement.
    He is survived by his three sons: Michael (Lila), Timothy (Barb), and Gregory (Karen); a daughter, Sarah; nine grandchildren: Stacie Attig, Nicole (Dan) Flaherty, Steven, Michael Taylor, Paul, Dianne, Adam, and Kevin; two sisters: Joan (Francis) Gerow and Rita Gatz; sisters-in-law: Margaret "Muggs" Kilgas, Barbara Mischler, Sr. Helen Huss, Mary (Paul) Schuh, and Ginny (Bob) Recla.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife "Franny", grandchildren: Jonathon and Amy; a sister, Mary Ellen Rewey, brothers: Dale and Don; sister-in-law, Helen Kilgas; and brothers-in-law: David Gatz, Wayne Rewey, Ronald Vanden Bosch, and Wilfred Mischler.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at St. Mary Church, 119 West 7th St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors and Fr. Willard Van De Loo concelebrating. Friends will be received on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Parish Prayer at 7:00 p.m. concluding the evening. Friends may call again directly at church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Full Military Rites will be held outside of church immediately following services by VFW Post #3319.
