    Obituary:
    Mrs. Anna Pagel, 76, formerly Of Kaukauna, died at 10:15 p. m. Monday in New London after a long illness. She was born Nov. 3, 1882, in Germany and lived in Kaukauna for 60 years before moving to Sturgeon Bay, Appleton and New London. Funeral services will be at 2 p m. Thursday at the Fargo Funeral home, Kaukauna, with burial in Trinity Lutheran cemetery, Kaukauna. The Rev. I. B. Kindem, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, Appleton, will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home afler 2 p.m. Wednesday. Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs, Alice Almon, and Mrs. Anne Pryor, and Mrs. Mildred Treichel, all of Appleton, Mrs. Ruth Graves, Chicago, Mrs. Dorothy Timmers, Kaukauna, Mrs. Esther Bean, Conneut, Ohio, and Mrs. Bernice Bchrcns, Palantine, 111.; two sons, John and Melvin Baker, both of Kaukauna; two brothers, Herman Becker, Elk River, Minn., and August Becker, Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Gregorious, Apple- ton, and Mrs. Martha Gusse, Milwaukee; 28 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

    Obituary:
    Dorothy Timmers (Baker), age 95, died on Monday April 25, 2011, after a brief illness. Dorothy was born on July 20, 1915, in Kaukauna daughter of the late John and Anna (Becker) Baker. She was employed as the Produce Manager at the Piggly Wiggly until her retirement in 1978.
    She is survived by her three granddaughters: Gail (Jim) Zierler-Hennes, Debra (Steve) Zenisek, Mary (Tom) Coates; a grandson: Robert (Chris) Zierler, seven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; a sister: Bernice (Edwin) Behrens; a sister-in-law: Dorothy Siebers. She will miss her loving pet and companion"Murphy".
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Timmers and her daughter: Janet (Timmers) Zierler.
    The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday April 29, 2011, at St. Katharine Drexal Parish, St. Mary Church, Seventh Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. The visitation will be held from 3 pm on Friday at the church until the time of service. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in her name.

    Obituary:
    Bernice Behrens, age 89, of Kaukauna, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at her home. She was born on February 18, 1922 in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Becker) Baker. Bernice was received in to the Kingdom of our Lord through Holy Baptism at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna and confirmed at Peace United Methodist Church in Kaukauna. She graduated from Kaukauna High School. On January 17, 1942, Bernice married Edwin E. Behrens in Oak Park, Illinois. They lived briefly in the Chicago area until Edwin was inducted into the U.S. Army. The couple resided in Palatine, Illinois for 29 years and resided in Hendersonville, North Carolina from 1985 until they returned to Kaukauna in 2002. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. Bernice retired from Teletype Corporation. Special interest included; Habitat for Humanity, church activities, pinochle and other card games.
    Bernice is survived by her husband: Edwin E. Behrens; two sons: Dennis Behrens, Lexington, Kentucky and Chris Behrens, Kaukauna; three grandchildren: Christina, James and Michelle and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers.
    The memorial service for Bernice will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 124 W. 10th Street, Kaukauna. Rev. Levi Willms will be officiating. Interment will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Kaukauna. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.

    Gerald P. Baker, age 77, formerly of Appleton, died Friday, June 1, at King Veterans Home. Gerald was born in Appleton on June 12, 1934, to the late John and Mary (Munes) Baker. Gerald proudly served his country with both the Marines and the Navy through two tours of Viet Nam, retiring after 22 years of service. During his tours of Viet Nam, he received two Purple Heart Awards and the Gold Star Award. After his career in the military, he worked for Miller Electric and did security work with the Paper Valley Hotel. Gerald was a member of the Viet Nam Veterans Association.
    He is survived by his son Conrad Baker, FL; step son Joe, FL; four sisters: Carol (Gordon) Zabel, New London, Rose Misco, Appleton, Lillian Baker, Hortonville, and Helen (Ray) Seidl, Darboy; two brothers: Arthur (Joan) Baker, Solon Springs, WI and Clifford (Gladys) Baker, Appleton. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald.
    A Funeral Service for Gerald will take place at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel with Deacon Mauri Reed officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment with full military honors will take place at King Veterans Cemetery.

    Sylvia M. Miller, Appleton, age 87, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Rennes Health Care Center. Sylvia was born in Kaukauna on September 19, 1924 to the late George and Anne (Baker) Koehn. On September 18, 1943, she was united in marriage to Oliver O. Miller in Beloit, WI. The couple enjoyed 67 years together until his death in 2011. Sylvia enjoyed working in her flower garden. She also loved camping - she and her husband Oliver were the camp hosts at Hartman Creek State Park in Waupaca for many years. Sylvia was a member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Appleton.
    She is survived by a son, Ben (Lynn) Miller, Kaukauna; daughter, Sherry Reitz, Waupaca; 5 grandchildren: Tim (Tammi) Miller, Jason Miller, Melissa (Chad) Cummings, Jenny (Mark) Bock, and Pam (Dave) Fullmer; 5 great grandchildren: Paige Rueden-Allen, Hayli Cummings, Gavin Cummings, McKayla Bock, and Grayson Fullmer; sister, Barbara Newton; brother, Jerome Ducat; daughter in law, Sue Miller, and sister in law, Mabel Everson. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Robert Miller, 2 sisters: Beverly Kachur and Georgianne Koehn, brother, Wesley Koehn, and great grandson, Taylor Nelson.
    A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2220 E. College Ave., Appleton, with Rev. Martin Koeller officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Rennes Health Care Center for their compassionate care shown to Sylvia.

She was born on May 15, 1929, to the late George and Annie (Baker) Koehn in Kaukauna, WI. She spent 15 years working at Lawrence University before retiring. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the Thompson Community Center and most recently at St. Vincent de Paul's. She enjoyed spending time up north and was passionate about gardening, birds, her family, the casino and cooking.
    She will be sadly missed by her children: Rose (Kenneth) Rodina, Kathy Rathsack, William (Mary Beth) Knabenbauer, Linda Hanson (significant other Jerry Woelfel), Mary (Dan) Rodarte; her grandchildren: Tom (Lynn) Rathsack, Kenneth Rodina Jr, Tammy Wright, Michael (Kim) Rodina, Carrie (Kory) Schneider, Chad Hanson, Shane (Randi) Knabenbauer, Jeffrey Olsen and Matthew Olsen; great- and step-great-grandchildren: Jessica, Kayla, Troy, Jack, Tyler, Dawson, Elizabeth, London and Ireland; her siblings: Sylvia (Oliver) Miller, Barbara (James) Newton and Jerome (Nancy) Ducat and many nieces, nephews and friends.

    Janet Zierler, of Kaukauna, age 72, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Theda Clark Medical Center. Janet was born on August 11, 1933, to Richard and Dorothy (Baker) Timmers in Kaukauna. She married Bernard Zierler on April 26, 1951, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
    She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Timmers; her four children: Gail (Jim Hennes) Zierler, Robert (Christine) Zierler and their four children, Andria (Jim) Bena, David, Justin and Creg; Debra (Steven) Zenisek and their three children, Ryan, Shanna and Lindsey; and Mary (Tom) Coates; and two great-grandchildren, Pierce and Allison.
    She was preceded in death by her father, her husband and longtime friend and companion, Richard Lesselyoung.
    Janet's memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH in Kaukauna with Fr. David Schmidt officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Janet's name. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.

    Robert L. "Bob" Miller, Kaukauna, age 61, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 9, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born June 10, 1947 in Beloit, WI, son of Ollie and Sylvia (Koehn) Miller. Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in The Vietnam War. On May 13, 1972, he was united in marriage to Susan M. Goerl. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Bob also loved gardening, working with his apple trees, and playing with his grandchildren.
    Bob is survived by his wife, Sue; his parents: Ollie and Sylvia Miller; a son, Jason, Kaukauna; a daughter, Missy (Chad) Cummings, Kaukauna; two grandchildren: Hayli and Gavin Cummings; a brother, Ben (Lynn) Miller, Kaukauna; a sister, Sherry Reitz, Waupaca; mother-in-law, Ceil Goerl; two brothers-in-law: David "Whitey" Goerl and Dan (Diane) Goerl; two sisters-in-law: Dot (Lee) Hackel and Jan (Leon) Propson. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
    Bob was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Roger Goerl.
    Memorial Service for Bob will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, with Rev. Keller of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
