Obituary:
Age 58 passed away suddenly at home Saturday April 22, 2006. He was born on June 26, 1947 in Appleton to Paul K. and Emily C. (Kons) Ballard. Kenneth married LuAnn Zuberbier on May 28, 1992 at Bethlahem Lutheran Church, Hortonville. He was a lifetime resident of Appleton and loved fishing with his son, camping, gardening and golfing on Chaska Golf Course. Kenneth also enjoyed leisure time playing sheepshead, juggling, or sipping a fine glass of wine on the back porch while bird watching. He cherished the time he spent with his granddaughter Maeson. As the oldest boy, he was thoughtful and generous to all family members and the very best big brother.
Kenneth is survived by his wife: LuAnn; his son Klint Ballard of Appleton; stepchildren: Craig (Lori) Voight of Freedom; Kevin (Kate) Voight of Freedom; Kelly (Dan) Wilda of Appleton; siblings: Virginia (Merle) Hauser of Vero Beach, FL; Karen (John) Atten of Fox Island, WA; JoAnne (Doug) Koplien of Venice, FL; Dennis (Debbie) Ballard of Appleton; James (Agnes) Ballard of Cheney, WA; Marge Barndt and special friend Stuart Elmer of Verona, WI; Steve (Patricia Porras) Ballard of Appleton; Barbara (Dave Wuestenberg) Ballard of Menasha; Cathrine (Donn) Remmel of Fremont; Michael Ballard of Appleton; step-grandchildren: Alexis Liles and Maeson Wilda.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Emily Ballard.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday April 25 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, North Highway 47, Town of Center with Pastor Jeffrey Suhr officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00am until the time of service at the Church. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund is being established.
