Obituary:
Ralph A. Young, age 92 of Clintonville passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 20, 2013 at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville.
Ralph was born in the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, on August 12, 1921. He was the son of the late Frank and Della (Balthazor) Young. Ralph grew up on the family farm with his many brothers and sisters. He lived there until February 14, 1942 when he married Violet N. Bricco. They were married 71 ½ years. The couple purchased a farm in rural Shiocton and farmed there until 1955 when they moved to Clintonville. They then bought a farmette in rural Clintonville in 1962. Ralph was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville where he served as an usher for many years. He was an avid gardener and farmer. Ralph worked at Crystal Fountain Dairy, Diecks' Excavating, Seagrave, and also drove school bus for many years. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed entertaining family and friends in his backyard.
Survivors include: His Wife: Violet.
4 Children: Sandra (Wayne) Olson, Embarrass; Sheila (Jim) Villesse, New London; Thomas (Nancy) Young, Clintonville; & Anne (Brandon) Stern, Waupaca.
13 Grandchildren & 2 Step Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren & 4 Step Great-Grandchildren.
A Sister: Wilma Muthig, Neenah.
Also many nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters: Gladys Wied, Lorretta Conrad, Janet Kroll, & Lois Muthig; 5 brothers: Theodore, Clarence, Royce, Orville, & John; and a great-grandson Jordon Ubersox.
Funeral services will be held Friday October 25, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville with Rev. Jack Mullarkey & Deacon Lincoln Wood officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery also in Clintonville.
Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family with the arrangements. www.eberhardtstevenson.com.
