    Obituary:
    Vivian Pagel, age 96, passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2011, at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton. Vivian was born December 13, 1914, in the Town of Stockbridge, to Albert and Ida (Reichwald) Pilling.
    She was a life-long member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Chilton, where she was Baptized and Confirmed. On April 23, 1935, she married John Pagel at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. John preceded her in death January 9, 2010. John and Vivian made their home in the Town of Charlestown where Vivian was a homemaker and also worked various part-time jobs, at Courtice's Grocery Store, Teske's Restaurant and later, Chilton Food Mart. She was also a life member of the Calumet Medical Center Auxiliary, Calumet County Homemakers and was very active in the Women's Guild at Ebenezer. As a homemaker, she had extraordinary skills at baking and her breads and sweet rolls were much sought after at various bake sales. She also treated her family to many delicious baked goods over the years. Vivian took pride in exhibiting her breads, cakes and flowers at the Calumet County Fair, taking many blue ribbons. After John retired in 1975, they moved to Chilton and enjoyed many years of retirement together. In 2006, when independent living became more difficult, they moved to Century Ridge Assisted Living Facility, where they were able to continue their life together. Vivian and John took great pride in their children and enjoyed spending time with family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They also enjoyed traveling, playing cards and visiting with friends. Vivian was an avid Brewers Fan and looked forward to once again listening the Brewers games on the radio, as well as her favorite Jerry Schneider program on Saturday mornings.
    Vivian is lovingly survived by one daughter, Charlotte (Don) Bruckner, Tampa, Florida; three sons, Charles, Brown Deer, Wayne (Sandy) Chilton, Gerald (Mary) Chilton. She is further survived by ten grandchildren: Kathy (Jack) McCurdy, Gary Bruckner and Fiancée Marissa Zega, Glen (Tish) Bruckner, all of Florida, Judy (Cory) Block, Mequon, Jon (Jane) Pagel, Germantown, Jill (Darrin) Paluchniak, Sussex, Tamara Alten, Chilton, Holly Pagel, Chilton, Kristi (Keith) Mueller, Chilton, Kayla (Matthew) Vance, Edgerton; 18 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Virginia Stecker, Brillion; brothers-in-law, Jim Scholz and Herman Pagel and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Vivian in death were her husband, her parents, infant brother, Victor; her sisters, Pearl Schwalenberg,and Eunice Scholz; father and mother-in-law, Herman and Emma Pagel; daughter-in-law, Darlene Pagel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ted (Elva) Pagel, Ruth Sturm Pagel, Arno and Marion Pagel, Grace Pagel, Norman Stecker, Harold Schwalenberg, Wally and Olive Jaeger.
    Funeral Services will be held at 12 o'clock Noon on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Chilton., with Rev. Kathy Gloff, officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Chilton. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM. A memorial fund has been established.
    The family would like to extend their thanks to Pastor Kathy Gloff, Margie and the staff at Century Ridge for the loving care provided to Vivian, Calumet County Home Health Care Department, for their care over the years and especially to Karen Doerr and her canine friend, Lexi, for their continued visits with Mom at Century Ridge. The family would also liked to thank Dr. Gene Tipler and the Wieting Family Funeral Home for their assistance. Mom, you will be greatly missed but we take comfort knowing that you and Dad are back together to celebrate your upcoming wedding anniversary!

    Virginia D. Stecker, age 92 of Garrow Villa in Brillion, died on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born on December 7, 1918 in the town of Chilton, daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Reichwald) Pilling. She married Norman Stecker on November 23, 1937 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Chilton.
    Virginia worked with her husband in cheese factories in the Reedsville and Rantoul areas. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul.
    Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law; Audrey and E.J. "Boobie" Buboltz of Brillion, 3 grandchildren Denise Buboltz of Dallas, TX, Kurt (Kim) Buboltz of Brillion, Jeff (Nicki) Buboltz of DePere, 5 great grandchildren; Jessica (A.J.) Drumm, Jacquelyn Buboltz, Jacob, Caleb, and Rebecca Buboltz, a great great granddaughter Aubrey Drumm, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; James Scholz of Chilton, Wilmer "Butch" Stecker of Chilton, David (Myrtle) Stecker of Brillion and Marie Stecker of Kaukauna.
    Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Norman on January 26, 2008, a brother Victor Pilling, sisters and brothers-in-law; Vivian (John) Pagel, Pearl (Harold) Schwalenberg, and Eunice Scholz.
    Funeral service will be held on Saturday August 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. The Rev. Timothy Benninghoff will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
