    Tootie Zuleger passed away early on Tuesday morning, May 6, 2014 at a local nursing home. She was born in the town of Cicero, daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Peters) Zuleger. For nearly forty years, she was employed at Appleton Papers and was also a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church where she helped with funeral meals and other volunteer needs. She was also known for her crafts, crocheting dolls, and making doilies. Tootie never married, but she does leave behind her loving nieces and nephews; Sandy (Rick) Vandenberg, Gary (Margo) Schinke, Ernie (Rosie) Schinke, Barbara DeWitt, Marty (Sherry) Zuleger, Danny Zuleger, Darvin Thomas, Audrey (David) Schommer, Connie (Phil) Feigle, Ken (Mitze) Zuleger, Delbert (Beverly) Zuleger, Jack (Kathie) Zuleger, Junior (Ethel) Zuleger, and Dennis Zuleger. She is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, and a sister-in-law: LaVern Zuleger. Tootie was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Marjorie (Ernest) Schinke, Leona (Earl) Thomas, Gaylord Zuleger, Carl (June) Zuleger, Maynard (Irene) Zuleger, Norman (Ethel) Zuleger, and Raymond (Ethel) Zuleger.
    Funeral services for Tootie will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2014 at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 912 N. Oneida Street in Appleton. Rev. Lloyd Luedeman will officiate, and a private burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
    Aunt Tootie, we love you more! You were like a mother to all of us.

    Barbara Ann De Witt, age 76, of Chilton, died on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Century Ridge in Chilton. She was born April 25, 1938 in Appleton, daughter of the late Ernest & Marjorie (Zuleger) Schinke. She graduated from Appleton High School, class of 1956.
    Barb married Eugene Jannsen on April 25, 1957. Following her marriage to Eugene, Barbara worked at the telephone company as a switch operator, the Chilton Metal Products, and as a teacher's aid in the Chilton School District. She and Eugene also owned and operated the Log Cabin Tavern in Chilton for 10 years. Barb sold cleaning supplies for Fuller Brush and Raleigh Companies and also worked at Austin's Grocery Store in Chilton where she met her best friend, Donna.
    She married Frank Westfahl on December 10, 1977 at Ebenezer UCC in Chilton; he preceded her in death on February 15, 1989. She later married Blaine DeWitt on September 8, 2001; he preceded her in death on March 21, 2009.
    Barb was a member of Ebenezer UCC where she had previously volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher. Barb was an animal lover, and appreciated all of the pets in her life. She enjoyed playing the organ, gardening, flowers, was a voracious reader, and collected angels and angel books.
    She certainly had numerous passions & hobbies in life, but her greatest love was her children. This was evidenced by her countless hours volunteered as a Cub Scout Den Mother, volunteering as a Blue Bird and Campfire Girls Leader, and cherishing every moment babysitting her grandchildren. Nothing brought Barb more joy than to spend time with her family.
    Survivors include her children: Debra (Scott) Roewer, Rick (Nancy) Jannsen, Chris Jannsen (Corey Alberts), Kathy Schreiber, Kelly (Kurt) Wollersheim; 13 grandchildren: Patrick, Nicholas, Kristina, Jessica, Daryl, Jessica, Derek, Wesley, Jason, Alexandra, Kyler, Brandon, Hunter; great grandchildren: Isabella, Hayden, Emma Ayden, Diverson, Jr., Chase, Hayden; her special friend: Duane Best; 2 brothers: Ernest & Gary Schinke; and a sister: Sandy Vandenberg. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Eugene, Frank, & Blaine; and an infant child.
    Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ (44 W. Washington) in Chilton with the Rev. Michael Safford-Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, September 22, 2014 and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 am until 10:45 am.
    Barb's family would like to thank the entire staff of the Chilton Care Center, Century Ridge, and the Calumet County Hospice for all of the loving care that was provided to their mom.

    Martin J. Zuleger, age 62, of Appleton, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Marty was born on June 28, 1951, in Appleton, to LaVerne (Schinke) Zuleger and the late Gaylord "Bud" Zuleger. He married Shari Kernen on April 1, 2005, in Jamaica.
    Marty was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He was truly an outdoorsman— he enjoyed hunting, fishing and all of nature. Marty was a gifted photographer, and avid Packers and Brewers fan, and was a member of the Crivitz Bowhunters Club and the Wisconsin Bowhunters Association. He was well known for his unique sense of humor. However, he most enjoyed the time spent with his family.
    Survivors include his wife of nine years, Shari; his mother LaVerne Zuleger, Appleton; his son, Matthew (Devon) Zuleger, Madison; his daughter, Mary (John) Daft, Appleton; his son, Mason (Sheila) Zuleger, Menasha; his grandchildren, Bryce, Megan, Zoey, Josiah, James and Abby; his brother, Dan Zuleger; and his nephews, Trevor and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott.
    Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2014, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com
