Obituary:
Phyllis Herrbold, 92, Appleton, passed away with her family by her side, Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born October 18, 1914, in Neenah, daughter of Albert and Ella (Zeinert) Bahr. Phyllis married Philip O. Herrbold April 12, 1937. Mr. and Mrs. Herrbold recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. Phyllis was a camping enthusiast, and camped from 1953-1998 with her family. She was a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association, Wally Byam Caravan Club, and the Menasha Historical Society.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 70 years, Philip; three children: Gretchen (Richard) Solomon, Brookfield; William (Judith) Herrbold, Waupaca; Germaine (David) Havel, Appleton; six grandchildren: Christopher and Matthew Herrbold, Menasha; Michael (Ellen Lee) Solomon, Ann Arbor, MI; Amanda Solomon, Bookfield; Lea Anne (Scott) Hoelzel, Neenah; Sarah (Jamin) Bowen, Appleton; five great-grandchildren: Kiela Hoelzel; Jarik and Jaina Bowen; Zoe and Mia Solomon; a sister-in-law, Leatha (Leonard) Beard, Appleton; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
In accordance with Phyllis' wishes, no services will be held. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
Phyllis' family extends a special thank you to Mary and Fran along with the St. Elizabeth sub acute nurses and staff for their loving care.
A memorial has been established for the Fox Valley Humane Society.
