Obituary:
Clara Blindauer, age 95, died early Saturday morning, September 7, 2002 at Morningside Nursing Home where she had been a resident for several y ears.Clara was born on March 11, 1907 in the Town of Herman. She was the daught er of the late Lawrence and Sophia (Zimmerman) Jetzer.Clara was united in marriage to Edwin Blindauer on June 19, 1928 at St. Do minic Catholic Church. The couple was actually the first couple marri ed at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Edwin preceded Clara in death in Februa ry of 1993, after 65 years of marriage. Clara farmed along with her husba nd in the Town of Sheboygan until they retired in 1966. Clara was a life-l ong member of St. Dominic Catholic Church where she was active in many way s, such as a member of the Christian Women Society, Catholic Knights, Cath olic order of Foresters and St. Lawrence Guild Catholic Womens Charity. S he was also a life member of the St. Luke Apostle of Suffering.Clara is survived by her two sons, Kenneth (Mary) Blindauer, of Sheboyga n, Eugene (Jean) Blindauer, of Plymouth; three daughters, Lucille Muelle r, of Stoughton, Catherine Isa, of Sheboygan and Doris Gruenke, also of Sh eboygan; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-gran dchild, she is further survived by her sister Florence Even, of Sheboyga n. Clara was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and two sons -in-law.Mass of Christian Burial for Clara will be celebrated on Wednesday, Septem ber 11, 2002 at 12:00 noon at St. Dominic Catholic Church. The Rev. John T yson will celebrate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may c all on Tuesday, September 10 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Novak-Ramm- Ziegler Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, and again on Wednesday at the c hurch from 11:00 AM until the hour of mass. A memorial fund in the na me of Clara Blindauer has been established. The family of Clara would li ke to send a sincere thank you to the entire staff of Morningside Nursi ng Home for their fine and compassionate care given to her during her stay .
