    Michael J. Roskom, 42, Freedom, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at St. Paul Home after a long hard-fought illness. Michael was born in Appleton, on Jan. 2, 1966. He married Amy Ludke on April 29, 1989, at Holy Cross Parish, where he was a member. Michael worked at Roskom Meats until his illness prevented him from continuing. Mike loved spending time with his children, doing woodworking and playing video games.
    Michael is survived by his wife of 19 years, Amy; his children, Brandon, Alyssa and Courtney, all at home; his father, David Roskom; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Bobbie Ludke; sister-in-law, Mary (Scott) Kunic; nephews, Ryan, Sean and Adam; and one sister, Kim (Paul) Zierler. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles and friends.
    Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha; and his grandparents.
    Visitation will begin Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at 2 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 5 p.m. at HOLY CROSS PARISH (301 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna). The Rev. Martin Fox will officiate. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
    Mike and Amy would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to family and friends for their friendship and support through this journey. They would also like to thank the caring staff at St. Paul Home and Mike's dedicated physicians.
