    Mrs. Ruby Mae Dorn, age 90, a resident of Wild Rose Manor Nursing Home for the past 8 years, formerly of Waukau, died peacefully early Monday morning, March 5, 2007, at the Wild Rose Manor. Ruby was born May 11, 1916, in Waukau (Town of Rushford, Winnebago County), the daughter of Carlyle and Margaret Vogt Mallery. She was raised in Waukau and lived much of her life there. Ruby was educated in the Starr School near Waukau. She married Joseph Dorn on October 21, 1940, at the Methodist Church in Waukau. Joe preceded Ruby in death October 26, 1973. Ruby had also lived in Saxeville and following her husband's death moved to the Manawa area. She had been a caregiver for 15 years for a number of people and also assisted them with their needs. Ruby enjoyed vegetable gardening, farming, and baking bread, pies, and cookies. She had resided at Wild Rose Manor since 1999. While living at the Manor, Ruby loved helping out in the kitchen and taking part in the many activities at the Manor. She was raised in the Methodist Church and had attended the Saxeville Baptist Church while living there. Survivors include a son, Lyle (Lila) Dorn of Saxeville, a daughter, Frances "Fran" (Joseph) Colditz of Algonquin, Illinois; three grandchildren, Lynn (Scott) Beck of Springwater; Lyle J. Dorn, Jr. of Milwaukee; and Joe (Susan) Colditz, Jr. of Algonquin, Illinois. Ruby is also survived by two great-granddaughters, Rebecca Sapp of Madison and Brandi Sapp of Ogdensburg, other relatives and friends, and her caregivers at Wild Rose Manor.
    Ruby was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruby M. Dorn will be held Friday, March 9th. at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Saxeville. Pastor Bob Hanson will officiate. Ruby will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Joseph in the Saxeville Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. friday only prior to the Services. A Memorial has been established for the Wild Rose Manor Nursing Home. The Ruminski Funeral Home of Redgranite is assisting the family with arrangements
