    Obituary:
James Joseph Griesbach, age 78, of Appleton, was called to his Heavenly Lord, on Friday, January 29, 2016, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Jim was born December 30, 1937, in Black Creek, Wisconsin, the son of Tony and Selma (Lautenschlager) Griesbach.
Jim graduated from Hortonville High School, with the class of 1956. Following graduation, he proudly served our country, serving in the United States Army. On October 6, 1962, Jim married Bonnie Tiedt in Hortonville. They later made their home in Kimberly, where they raised their family. He started working at Appleton Papers in 1958, until he retired in 1998. After retiring, he and Bonnie moved to Shawano to their home on the lake. Jim was very active in his parishes, both Holy Name of Jesus in Kimberly and St. Martin's in Cecil.
He was a devoted Husband, Father, and Grandpa/Bumpa/YeYe. He enjoyed following sports - whether it be what his kids were playing, his grandkids were playing, the Kimberly Papermakers or of course, "Da Bears" and the Cubs. Jim further enjoyed fishing off his deck, mowing his lawn and going to the Casino
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Bonnie Griesbach; sons, Steven (Chris) Griesbach and Michael (Kelly) Griesbach; daughter, Kim (Sean) Lotten; 9 grandchildren, Corey, Cameron, Cailee, Kyden and Cooper Griesbach, Anna Griesbach, and Mason, Tyson and Madison Lotten; brothers, Kieth (Marsha) Griesbach, and David (Char) Griesbach; and sisters, Judy (Larry) Klitzke and Sharon (Michael) Luchi. He is further survived by sisters-in-law, Joan Griesbach and Carol Jean (Bill) Currier; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Elton; sister, Carol; brother-in-law, Allen; and parents-in-law, William and Marie Tiedt.
Family and friends may call on Monday, February 1, 2016, from 9 a.m. - 12 noon, at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald, Appleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be heard at 12 noon, with Father Gerald Falk, and Deacon Mike of Cecil officiating. Inurnment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
