    Delores J. Hurley, 75, Appleton, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. Delores was born April 23, 1932, in Appleton the daughter of the late John and Esther (Reitz) Jacobs. She resided most of her life in Appleton and was a graduate of Appleton High School class of 1950. Delores also graduated from Milwaukee's Deaconess Hospital X-Ray Technician School in 1951 and worked at several Milwaukee area clinics. In 1960 Delores moved back to Appleton to join the family business Jacobs Meat Market, which was founded by her father, John and his brother, Leonard Jacobs in 1945 and continues to be in the family today. Delores worked for the family business for many years, retiring in 2004. On Jan. 26, 1952, Delores was united in marriage to George Hurley, sharing 55 years together. Delores is a member of the Word of Life Fellowship SDB and a former member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. She also served on her high school reunion committee. Delores will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A kind gentle person who enjoyed spending time with her family and church.
    Survivors include her husband, George; a daughter, Deborah (Thomas) Brooks, Kaukauna and a son, Charles (Sharon) Hurley, Appleton; six grandchildren, Adam and Brenda Brooks and Emelia, Victor, Michael, and Daniel Hurley; a brother, Edward Jacobs, Appleton and nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Hurley.
    Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 3009 N. Meade St. Appleton, with the Rev. Dennis Ellisen and the Rev. Dale Smalley officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call directly at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society, Word of Life Fellowship SDB, or Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cherry Meadows, AMC, and to Dr. A. Phillips.

    Charles E. Hurley "Charlie", 57, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 1, 2013 at home. Charlie was born on August 24, 1955 in Janesville to the late George and Delores (Jacobs) Hurley; the family moved to Milton and eventually to Appleton in 1964. Charlie graduated from Appleton East High School in 1974. He started working at Jacobs Meat Market in 1973 and retired in 2010. Charlie was united in marriage to Sharon Bratz on June 28, 1980, and they recently celebrated 33 years of marriage. He was a Royal Ranger Leader at Home Church. Charlie delivered the Post Crescent for many years. He enjoyed John Wayne movies, hunting and fishing with the family, Shetland ponies, Mountain Dew and loved the Green Bay Packers.
    He is survived by his wife Sharon; children: Emelia "Ellie" (fiancé Alfredo Quansah), Victor (Melissa) and their daughter Synthia, Michael "Mike", Sargaent Daniel; sister Debbie (Tom) Hurley Brooks; brother-in-law Tom (Judy) Bratz, father- and mother-in-law August and Esther Bratz; uncle Edward Jacobs and cousin Victor Pierce. His further survived by other family and friends.
    Preceded in death by his parents and infant son Richard.
    A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Home Church, 1215 Buchanan St., Little Chute, with Rev. Bruce Daley officiating. Visitation will be at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel, 606 N. Oneida St Appleton on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
