He was born May 26, 1932, in Green Bay, the son of the late Seifred & Alzada (Fonder) Peters. He was united in marriage to Rosella Philipsen on October 27, 1951, at St. Joseph's Church, Oneida. Early on in Milt's career, he worked at Charmin Paper Mill, while actively farming in the Seymour area for 54 years. Milt was an active member of St John's Catholic Church in Seymour. There, he was a distributor, an usher and spent time on the parish council. He was Grand Knight for Knights of Columbus, Past President of Catholic Knights Insurance for many years, and on the Board of Directors for the Seymour Co-op, and DHIA Board Member. In his younger days, Milt and Rosie loved roller-skating, snowmobiling, and bowling with friends. Later, Milt took up woodcraft; he loved fishing with anyone especially with his sons, and good friend Norm Rohm, hunting on his farm, playing cards, telling jokes and stories, spending time with family and friends, and "tinkering.' At home, Milt took joy in feeding the birds and squirrels in his backyard. Many mornings were spent having breakfast at the Plaza Restaurant talking with friends and the waitresses.
