Obituary:
Richard N. Myhre, 57, of Viroqua, died Thursday February 12, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born January 13, 1958 in Viroqua to Leif and Lilah (Rood) Myhre. Richard graduated from Viroqua High School in 1976. He married Mary Gronemus on September 26, 1992 at Eckhart Park in Viroqua. He had worked at Nelson Global in Viroqua for the past 35 years. Richard, also known as "Walleye Myhre" was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting, vegetable gardening, hockey, the Packers and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Mary; daughter Danielle (Ben) Powers; 3 sons, Nick (Jeni), Joe (Trisha), and Andy (Ashley) Gronemus; 9 grandchildren, Parker, Brock, Charli, Cole, Aubrey, Logan, Baya, Lily and Jack; 7 sisters, 3 brothers, many nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Chloe.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday February 16, 2015 at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua. Rev. Chad Wagner will officiate. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Thorson Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 5 p.m. , and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
