Obituary:
Roger W. Green, age 74, Freedom, died peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Atrium Care Center, Little Chute. He was born Jan. 6, 1943 in Freedom, WI.
On September 11, 1965, Roger married Karen VanHandel in Appleton. The couple enjoyed 39 years together prior to her death on April 21, 2004. Roger had worked for Weyers Equipment in Kaukauna until health issues forced his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, watching old movies on television and camping with friends.
Roger is survived by 1 daughter Melissa "Missy" (Bill) Vine, Darboy;
3 sons, Jeff (Sara), Rick (Pam) all of Freedom and Jay, Kaukauna; 10 grandchildren: Tyler, Kayla, and Megan Leurquin, Justin and Keira Green, Mariah and Zach Green, Jacob, Joshua, and Jebediah Green; special friend Barbara Zubke, Watertown; 1 brother and sister-in-law Norman (Sandy) Green, Freedom, 1 sister and brother-in-law Charlotte (Pat) Schommer, Little Chute; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, and his parents, William and Lorraine (Meulemans) Green.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday November 27, 2017, at St. John Catholic Church, 323 Pine St., Little Chute with Fr. Ronald Belitz officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service.
