    Obituary:
    Dallas W. Werner, Kaukauna, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at American Grand Assisted Living in Kaukauna. He was born July 8, 1932 on a farm just outside of Seymour, WI, the son of the late Herman and Marie (Voight) Werner. He was the youngest of five children having three brothers and one sister. Dallas attended school in Seymour graduating valedictorian of his class in 1950. After high school Dallas moved to Minnesota with his brother to sell vacuum cleaners for a year. He then moved to Madison, WI to attend college. Deciding to enlist in the military and serve his country in the Korean War he left college early. Dallas served overseas for two years. Upon his return he attended the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh where he earned a B.S. in Physics in 1958. Dallas continued his education at the University of Iowa to earn his masters. There he worked with Physicist Dr. Van Allen on research from the Explorer Satellite program. His professional career began in 1959 in Kaukauna, Wisconsin being hired as a Physics and Math teacher. It was there he met his wife Mary and began their family. Dallas introduced computers to Kaukauna High School and with a goal of having a computer in every classroom. At the time of his retirement this goal was realized. He was active in the school system and his community. He loved coaching football and served as head coach of the freshman and JV football programs for twelve years. Dallas was active in Kiwanis, 1000 Island Environmental Center, UNICEF, Special Olympics, and his church. He was a long-standing and faithful member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Kaukauna.

    Dallas was a dedicated loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and teacher. His life was one of service to others. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, a caring and gentle man who will be remembered in our hearts forever. To his students, F = ma

    He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children: Brad (Sara) Werner and Wendi (Brad) Jedwabny; eight grandchildren: Keegan Krueger (fiancé Justin Baur), Kylie Krueger (fiancé Terry Waters), Zachary Werner, Annalise Werner, Haley Corcoran, Olivia Jedwabny, Maya Corcoran, and Jenna Jedwabny; sisters-in-law: Virginia Werner and Jan Feldmann. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

    Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers: Harold, Earl, and Marvin, a sister, Margaret, and a brother-in-law, Duane Feldmann.
    Memorial services for Dallas will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at IMMANUEL UCC, 510 Sullivan Ave., Kaukauna with Pastor Gregory Smith officiating. Friends may call directly at church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Dallas's name is being established for 1000 Islands Nature Center, Kiwanis Club, and Immanuel UCC.
