    Gehrke, Adelyne C.
    Adelyne C. Gehrke, age 82, of Manawa, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2008, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on October 24, 1925, daughter of the late Edgar & Ella (Fritz) Spletter, and attended school in New London. She married the late Wilmer Gehrke on May 25, 1951, and resided at the homestead where they farmed for many years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa.
    An inspiration with her sharp mind and balanced heart, Adelyne is survived by her children: Mitchell Gehrke, Manawa; Jan Lucht (James Baear), Appleton; Timothy (Jeanne) Gehrke, Manawa; Lisa (Robert) Beck, Shakopee, MN; a daughter-in-law, Georgia Gehrke (Jon Schwietzer), Manawa. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Courtney (Brent), Ashley (Matt), Ben (Taren), Jordan, Dan, Jared, Jasmyne, Darin, Emily, Spencer, Charley, Carter, Adam and Rebecca; great-grandchildren: Aavery, Dakota, Camden and Kyla (April, 2008); a special cousin and aunt, Joann and Ola; sisters-in-law: Ramona, Dorothy, Loretta (Frank), Janet (Al); nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    She was peacefully reunited with her parents, and husband, Wilmer; a son Gary; a sister-in-law Lorene, brothers-in-law: Rudolph and Robert; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Irene.
    The funeral service for Adelyne will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Vilas Mazemke and Rev. Wally Waite officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery in the Town of Little Wolf. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Tuesday (TODAY) from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from noon until the time of the service.
