    Obituary:
Floyd H. Gagnon, 82, De Pere, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at Angel's Touch Nursing Home after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Floyd was born July 11, 1925, in Two Rivers, Wis., to Martin and Adeline Gagnon. He married Geraldine Gallas on Sept. 2, 1944, in Clarksdale, Miss.
Floyd joined the Air Force in 1943. He spent 20 years of his life in the Air Force and retired as a Captain Pilot in 1963. Floyd's Air Force career took him and Geraldine to Guam, the Philippines, Alaska, Maryanna Islands, and about 40 other U.S. states during his service. Floyd and Geraldine's children are all named after Air Force bases.
Upon retiring in 1968, he purchased a farm in Shirley, Wis., to raise his six boys and one girl. In 1984, Floyd and Geraldine moved to Rhinelander so that he could pursue his fishing and hunting dreams. Then they moved to Avon Park, Fla., where Floyd took up golfing and scored 4 holes-in-one. In 1997, they returned to Wisconsin to be closer to their children.
Survivors include his loving wife, Geraldine of 63 years; five sons, Craig and Rita, Ed and Belinda, Scott and Maryann, Bryan and Julie, and Patrick and Tammy; and one daughter, Marianne and Dennis Zirbel. He is further survived by his brother, Evan Gagnon, and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Floyd is preceded in death by both his parents; his son, Gary; his granddaughter, Brynn; and his brother, Glenn.
Family and friends may call Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, from 9 a.m. until the hour of Memorial Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glenmore. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday at church, with Fr. Lee J. Kahrs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, Denmark, is assisting the family.
Special thanks to Sheila and the staff at Angel's Touch
