Zoern, Kenneth E. Little Chute Age 65, died unexpectedly Monday, January 20, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, with his family by his side. Kenneth was born February 15, 1937, in Antigo son of the late Irvin and Elizabeth (Steckbauer) Zoern. He was superintendent at U.S. Paper until his retirement in 1996. Kenneth enjoyed golf, cribbage, watching western movies with his brother, listening to western music, especially Johnny Cash, and also the "shake of the day" and "slot machines" and "pull tabs" while visiting with his friends. He cherished the time spent at the cabin in Antigo and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Kenneth is survived by his three children: Kim Zoern, Appleton Jodi (Kevin) Eisch, Black Creek Chad Zoern, Appleton and their mother, Helen Zoern three grandchildren: Matthew, Samantha and Megan Eisch two brothers: Jim (Margaret) Zoern, Birnamwood Jerry (Kay) Zoern, Little Chute two sisters: Patricia Evers and Mary Sabel, both of Little Chute two sisters-in-law: Maryanne and Carol Zoern. Kenneth was preceded in death by a son, David three brothers: Irvin, Donald and John Zoern and a brother-in-law, Theodore Evers. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 2:00-5:30 p.m. Wednesday. A special thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Franciscan Care Center for their kind and compassionate care for Kenneth.
