    Schwandt, Jane Elsbeth (Rahn)
    Jane Elsbeth Schwandt, age 58, Appleton, died with her family at her side on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. She was born in Cadott on July 27, 1951, the daughter of the late Dr. Bruno F. and Ina (Pulver) Rahn. On August 4, 1979, she married her husband, Bill Schwandt. Jane was a French and English teacher at Shiocton High School for 32 years, retiring in 2006. She loved reading, cooking and golf. The things that were most important to her were being a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. These things gave her a passion for living.
    Jane is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bill; children: Lea (Christopher Bellisle) Schwandt and Isaac (Amanda) Schwandt; grandchild: Jadyn Schwandt; brother: Bruno (Pat) Rahn; sisters: Kris (Jim) Dimock and Aimee (Don) Roberts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service of celebration will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 325 E. Franklin St., Appleton, with Dr. Doyle Blanton and Rev. Krystal Bartlett officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
    The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Kevin Mortara, the oncology staff at Appleton Medical Center, and the ThedaCare Hospice Team for their exceptional care.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

    Lea K. Schwandt, of Appleton, age 28, died unexpectedly in an automobile accident on Thursday, November 5, 2009. She was born on March 12, 1981, in Appleton, the daughter of Bill and Jane (Rahn) Schwandt. Lea received her teaching certificate in March of 2009 from Marian University. She was looking forward to her passion of teaching, after being employed at area group homes and as a substitute teacher in the Fox Valley area. Lea had a love for the arts, theatre, music and travel. She enjoyed teaching, painting and crafts.
    Lea is survived by her father, Bill Schwandt; her brother, Isaac (Amanda) Schwandt; niece, Jadyn Schwandt, grandmother, Jean Schwandt and her boyfriend, Christopher Bellisle. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
    Lea was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother, Jane Schwandt, on August 26, 2009.
    The funeral service for Lea will be 11 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2009 at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 325 E. Franklin Street, Appleton. Dr. Doyle Blanton will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m. and again at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
    Lea was a very loving and giving young woman, and through her anatomical donation many others will benefit from her unselfish gift.
