Obituary:
JoAnne Burns-Steinbach, age 66, of Forest Junction, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born on February 15, 1943, in Appleton, daughter of the late Lyle and Frieda (Schmidt) Holtz. JoAnne worked at La Quinta Inns and Suites in Appleton. She loved her cats, flowers, playing cards, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Woodville.
Survivors include two sons: Eric (Kristina) Burns of Green Bay, Gregory (Melissa) Burns of Appleton; two grandchildren, Alissa and Dante; a sister, Betty (Roger) Brehmer of Kaukauna; two brothers: Donald (Carol) Holtz of Forest Junction, Richard (Joyce) Holtz of Little Chute; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at NOON on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Church in the Town of Woodville. The Rev. Paul Fanning will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and then at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
