Obituary:
Elaine Margaret Lillge, a lifetime resident of Appleton, passed away Tuesday, February 14, at the age of 92. She was born on May 6, 1924 in Darboy to the late Victor and Anna (Schafelke) Hartzheim. At an early age, Elaine met the love of her life, Loren Lillge, at Roosevelt Jr. High. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1942. Elaine and Loren married on July 20, 1946 in Appleton where they made their home and celebrated 56 beautiful years together. She worked at Eagle Manufacturing and Wisconsin Bell before starting their family.
Elaine is survived by her four children; Mark (Patricia Van Stralen) and his children, Justin, Jason (Chelsea) and their daughter Amiah, Drew (Minnie) and their daughter Ashley; Mary Brock (Dick) and their children Andrew (Laura), Katie, Ross (Jessica) and their daughter Rowan; Kevin (Patty) and their children Brittany (Nick) and their son Dominic, and Maria (Connor Seiler).
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Loren, brother Jack and sister-in-law Dee Hartzheim.
Elaine was a member of St. Therese Church, and the Elks Ladies Auxillary, Cotillion Dance and several knitting and sewing clubs. She was an avid bowler, golfer, Packers and Badgers fan and enjoyed going to the casino.
Her greatest joy in life was caring for her family and spending time with her grandchildren and most recently her great grandchildren whom she adored.
A celebration of Elaine's life will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday February 18, 2017, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL with Tina Poppe officiating. A visitation will be held at 10:00am until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery in Darboy.
Elaine's family would like to thank the many compassionate and caring staff at Rennes Health and Rehab Center. You became an extension of our family and we will truly miss all of you. A special thank you to Georgia for providing friendship and support for Elaine.
