Obituary:
Daniel Clark Miracle, age 57, of Neenah, passed away at his residence on Friday, February 4, 2005 after a brief illness. He was born on February 15, 1947 in Neenah; son of Robert and Virginia (Leicher) Miracle. He graduated from N.H.S. in 1966. Dan was a decorated Vietnam veteran. On April 20, 1968; he married Margaret Rasmussen in Appleton. He graduated Milwaukee Tech. College with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Cookery and worked in the cooking field for 10 years After starting a family, they moved back to Neenah where he worked for Kimberly-Clark for 28 years. Dan was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and a past president of the Menasha Lions Club. He was very involved with the Christian Church Organization from which he sponsored a child in Mexico through C.C.F. for several years. With the help of St. Thomas Church and friends, he raised funds for many years that were matched by Kimberly-Clark to provide school supplies, medicine to help alleviate the poverty and hopelessness in the villages. He even provided playground equipment on his own for a park in Mexico which he was honored by having the park named after him. Dan loved to hunt, fish, play cards with family and friends and to travel the country on his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his parents, Robert (Virginia) Miracle, Menasha; his daughter, Barbara Miracle, Neenah; his son, Mark Miracle, Nashville, TN; his three brothers, Rev. David R. Miracle, Milwaukee, Richard J. (Shirley) Miracle, Papillion, NE; Robert L. (Sherry) Miracle, Appleton; his two sisters, Carol E. Danner, Neenah and Mary-Agnes (Mark) Skinner, Titusville, FL; and 17 nieces and nephews. Also surviving is an uncle James V. (Martha) Miracle, Va. Beach, VA and several cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 4 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 226 Washington St., Menasha with Rev. David Miracle, Rev. William Johnston and Rev. Edwin Smith officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name.
