Obituary:
Lois E.Wieck, age 80, of Appleton, formerly of Shawano and Green Bay, passed away Friday, August 24, 2007, in Appleton. Lois was born on November 12, 1926, the daughter of the late John and Lydia (Runge) Froelich. On April 17, 1949, she was united in marriage to Lyle Wieck at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Lois work for many years as a bookkeeper for her father at Chief Pontiac in Bonduel. She was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Appleton and was a former member of the St. James Ladies Aid of Shawano. Lois enjoyed working with ceramics and gardening.
Lois is survived by: her husband of 58 years, Lyle; two daughters, Elizabeth (Lyle) Parins of Appleton, Rhonda (Richard) Buhrke of Shawano; one son, Lyle "Skip" Wieck, Jr. of Milwaukee; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Buhrke, Naomi (Tom) Sumner, Sarah (Steve) Anderson, Alex Parins; three great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Tyler, Bryce, and three sisters-in-law, Mary Mueller, Joyce wieck, Gerri (Clarence) Korth.
Lois was preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother, Lorenz Froelich. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with Rev. Martin Koeller officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Family and friends may call at the Good Shepard Lutheran church in Appleton on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the funeral home in Bonduel on Tuesday after 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials have been established for St. Paul Lutheran School and Church of Bonduel and Family Crossfires, Inc. Ministries. The family would like to thank Brewster Village of Appleton, especially the staff of Heritage Manor who were more than caregivers, they were like family.
