    VETERAN PRINTER IS DEAD AT HOME
    AUGUST J. FUCHSGRUBER CAME TO APPLETON 50 YEARS AGO.
    August J.Fuchsgruber,74 oldest printer in the Fox River Valley, died at 3:30 Tuesday afternoon at his home, 1012 W. Winnebago St., after a short illness.
    Born in Juneau, Mr. Fuchsgruber came to Appleton 50 years ago and started working for the Chris Roemer printing company in 1878 and worked there until he retired six years ago. He was foreman of the printing shop for 30 years. He was an active member of St. Joseph church, St.Joseph Society and Holy Name Society.
    He is survived by his widow; five sons. Marvin J.,Montrose Colo: Norman, Kaukauna;Charles,Green Bay; and Raymond and Leander, Appleton; seventeen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
    August was a printer by profession and worked his way to the publisher of the Appleton Post Crescent.

    Obituary:
    Lucy Beck passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Anew Choice Care, Menasha, at the age of 103. She was born on May 12, 1913, in Kaukauna, daughter of Norman and Olga (Kirchner) Foxgrover. She married Wilfred Beck on June 15, 1935, and they celebrated 65 years together before his death on March 30, 2000.
    Lucy was employed with the Menasha School District's Lunch Program for several years. She lead the water exercise program for seniors, as a volunteer, with the Neenah-Menasha YMCA for 21 years. She taught Sunday School at the First Congregational Church in Menasha for many years. Lucy was a very dedicated and loving mother to her children.
    Lucy is survived by her 3 children: Thomas (Joanne) Beck, Winona, MN; Richard (JoAnn) Beck, Burr Ridge, IL; and Lynda Nazier, Menasha; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister: Mary Westphal; numerous nieces and nephews.
    Lucy was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
    In accordance with Lucy's wishes, private family services will be held to celebrate her life.
    The family would like to extend a thank you Lucy's caregivers at Anew Choice Care.

    Obituary:
    Joan H. Klitzke, age 89, of Appleton, passed away at Heartwood Homes on Saturday, April 14, 2012. Joan was born on July 29, 1922, in Appleton to the late Raymond and Mabel (Nash) Foxgrover. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Joan married Robert Klitzke on February 14, 1946; he preceded her in death on March 3, 1989. She was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart Choir, and was a church cantor and soloist. Joan also directed music programs at the American Legion Auxiliary Post; was a member of the Harmonettes, a National Champion American Legion singing group; and was an active member of the Thompson Community Center Chorus. She enjoyed many forms of dance, and was an active participant. Joan enjoyed flower arranging as a hobby and also arranged flowers for weddings. She was well-known for the trophies and medals she won in local running races.
    Survivors include her daughters, Carol Klitzke, (Tim Zbikowski), Maple Grove, Minnesota; Barbara (John) Vandenberg, Melbourne, Florida; and, Judy (Larry) Garrity, Appleton; her grandchildren, Shannon (Bill) Harrigan, and Kelly (Rick) Berghuis; her great grandchildren, Shamus and Molly Harrigan, Khloe and Parker Berghuis; her sister, Mary Jane DeWitt; and her sisters-in-law, Jane Foxgrover, Joyce Foxgrover and Dolores Gutche. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her brothers, William (Maryann), Robert and Tom; her infant sister, Virginia; her sister, Margie (Wally) Cotton; and her brother-in-law, Kenneth DeWitt.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton, with Fr. Tony Ibekwe officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. Thank you Jason and Lynn Schmitz and the extraordinary staff of Heartwood Homes; Outreach Volunteers of Sacred Heart Church and Asera Care Hospice.     Barbara A. (Quella) Baumgart, 52, Hortonville, was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, due to complications following a Stem Cell Transplant.
    Barb was born on June 25, 1961 in Appleton, to Eugene and Sally (Van Remortel) Quella, the second eldest of 8 children. Barb was a 1979 graduate of Hortonville High School. On July 10, 1980, Barb was united in holy matrimony to Daniel H. Baumgart. Together they shared 33 years of marriage. God blessed them with five children, six grandchildren, and two more on the way. Barb herself said she lived her life to love and care for Dan and their children. In her last days, she said she had everything she ever wanted in life. Barb was a dedicated wife, a loving mother and grandmother. When it came to her family, if anyone needed her, she was sure to be there, giving us nothing but her best. Barb was a wonderful example to her children and grandchildren. She could light up the room with her smile. Very seldom would you stop over and leave hungry. She was a fantastic cook and baker. She could make anything you wanted, all from scratch. Barb and Dan enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Kickapoo Valley, many memories have been made there. Barb was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. It can not be put into words how greatly she will be missed.
    Barb is survived by her loving husband, Dan; their five children, Benjamin (Jodi) Baumgart, Samuel Baumgart (fiancé Tiffany Kuhnke), Teresa (Jared) Nelson, Christine (Sam) Beyer, and April Baumgart (special friend Trevor Doherty); six grandchildren, Brent and Blake Baumgart, Braelynn Baumgart, Connor, Alexia and Ethan Nelson. She is further survived by her parents, siblings; David (Ingrid) Quella, Janice JanseVreeling, Steven (Terri) Quella, Carol (Chris) Sullivan, Mary (Rick) Sanders, John (Aimee) Quella, Nancy (Greg) Hayes; Dan's parents, Walter and Beverly Baumgart, Dan's siblings, their spouses, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Barb was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Raymond T. and Claudine Quella and maternal grandparents Clarence and Dorothy Van Remortel.
    The Funeral Mass for Barb will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Greenville (N2385 Municipal Drive) with Fr. Dan Felton and Fr. Mark VanderSteeg officiating. Family and friends may visit directly at church Friday, January 3, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again directly at church Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
    Dan would like to express his gratitude to MCC, and fellow employees, for being so wonderful to him during this difficult time. With your compassion, understanding, and flexibility, Dan was able to love and care for Barb through everything up until the end. Our family is very grateful, words cant express what you've done for us.
    Our family would like to thank Fr. Dan Felton, Fr. Mark VanderSteeg, and Fr. Justin Werner for all of the spiritual guidance and support you've given us. From the beginning of our journey to the end, you have individually guided Barb, Dan and our families, in different ways, at different times. With each of you, we find comfort that the Lord has embraced Barb, and has given her the most beautiful gift this Christmas.
    We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Appleton Medical Center, Froedtert Hospital and the BMT Unit, as well as the doctors and nurses at Cherry Meadows Hospice.
