    Ruth Marie Pamperin, loving wife to Donald Pamperin, died peacefully at home on Saturday evening, April 17, 2010. Ruth was born September 27, 1929 to Henry and Clara (Splan) Johnson and she spent her childhood growing up in Anston and graduating from Pulaski High School in 1947. Growing up in rural Brown County helped nurture a respect and love of the country side, working in the soil, and the appreciation of the simple things that life offers.
    Ruth created a welcoming home environment for family and friends to gather and celebrate so many life events. She instilled in each of us the importance of charity and caring for others, supporting each other, and the blessed happiness family togetherness brings. She enjoyed gardening and the beauty of fresh flowers, the satisfaction and talents of baking, cooking and canning. She also employed her creatively through crafts and ceramics. She was involved in her family's activities and served as a Sunday school teacher and a Scout Den Mother and she also served on various school and neighborhood committees. She enjoyed a good game of cards, singing songs with family, spending time at the lake in the northwoods and attending functions that involved her grandchildren.
    She married Donald Pamperin on September 11, 1950 and they have celebrated 60 years of marriage together. Ruth cared deeply about her spirituality, friends and family. Ruth was a loving wife, caring mother and loving sister. She is survived by her husband, Donald, their four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Susan Pamperin, Paul Pamperin, Peter and Barbara Pamperin, Steven and Karen Pamperin; five grandchildren, Aaron, Lauren, Taylor Rose, Alex and Jack. She is also survived by her sister Florence Vannes; sisters-in-law, Elaine Pamperin, Mary (Dr. William) Schubert; brothers-in-law, Tom (Ida) Pamperin, Don Conant; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
    Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Donna (Jim) Pamperin, Arlene Conant; a brother-in-law, Ralph Vannes.
    Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call at SS Edward and Isidore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville Rd., Flintville, from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at church with Rev. David Kasperek officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
