He was born February 12, 1923 in Kimberly; s on of Joseph and Hortence (Hofkens) Poppe. Edward married Florence Hamme n, September 12, 1944 and was a loving husband of 57 years. He was employ ed at The Mid Tech Mill for 40 years prior to his retirement. He was a lif elong member of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute, the church choir a nd the athletic association of the church. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, wo odworking, knitting, crocheting and was always remembered for his famous P oppe popcorn earning the title of Popcorn King.     Mary Ann Kappell, 74, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mary Ann was born on January 28, 1936, to the late Albert and Martha (Haen) Poppe. She married Eugene Kappell on July 8, 1952, at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. She was a caring and compassionate person and will be missed by all who knew her. Mary Ann's family and helping others were most important to her and she was loved by all her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
    Mary Ann is survived by five children; Barbara (Lyle) Balthazor, Karen Krueger, Randy Kappell, Leona (Jerome) Nettekoven, and Albert Kappell, 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, sisters; Bonnie Otto, and Betty Vander Pas, brothers; Marvin (Sharon), Richard (Mary) and Larry (Maryanne) Poppe, a sister-in-law, Val Poppe, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
    Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, and a brother Joseph Poppe.
    The Funeral Liturgy for Mary Ann will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH (410 W. Lawrence St. Appleton) with Fr. Jim Leary, OFM.CAP officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

    Obituary:
    Lynn M. Maccoux, 55, Green Bay, died on August 9, 2016 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Born on December 13, 1960, in Kaukauna, she is the daughter of JoAnne and the late Eugene Buechler. Lynn is a 1979 graduate of Green Bay Southwest High School. On August 6, 1983, she married Steve Maccoux. Lynn worked in human resources at Schneider National for over 30 years and Associated Bank for three years. Lynn enjoyed gardening and being up north with family, especially on the pontoon boat.
    Lynn is survived by her loving husband, Steve; two children, Michelle (Michael) Moens, Green Bay, Bryan (Nikki) Maccoux, Green Bay; mother; mother-in-law, Pearl Maccoux; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Buechler; father-in-law, Russell Maccoux; and her grandparents.
    Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m. Memorial service 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Pastor Don Olson officiating.
    The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Green Bay Oncology, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Zion, IL, and the staff at Unity Hospice, especially Dar, Kathy, and Amy. They would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her friends and family, as well as her co-workers at Associated Bank for all of their support and sustenance.
    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.
