    Obituary:
    Mrs. Maurice (Elizabeth) Rice, 78, 1556 Pine St., died early this morni ng at St. Michael's Hospital.
    Private family services will be held later. Her body will be donated to m edical science, and her eyes will be donated to the Lions Club Eye Bank.
    Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Boston Funeral Home. Two memor ials have been established in her name in lieu of flowers. They are to Li ncoln Center and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Foundation f or an art scholarship.
    Mrs. Rice was born June 3, 1906, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Os car and Metha Weber. She moved to Stevens Point with her family in the ea rly 1920's. She was graduated from high school here. She attended UW- SP and the University of Minnesota for one year each and was graduated wi th a bachelor of arts degree from Lawrence University, Appleton, in 192 8. She was a social worker for Milwaukee County for several years. She th en moved to Marshfield and was employed by Wood County Social Services f or one year.
    She was married to Dr. Maurice G. Rice April 21, 1934, at St. Stephen's re ctory. He survives. The couple settled in Stevens Point. During World W ar II, they lived in Philadelphia, Madison and Seattle and then returned h ere.
    Mrs. Rice was a charter member of the Fortnightly Study Club, past preside nt of the Stevens Point Art League and a member of the Salvation Army, Men tal Health Association, Leagur of Women Voters and Association of Americ an University Women.
    Survivors besides her husband include two daughters, Mrs. William (Moll y) Diedrich, 5970 Westminster Court, town of Hull, and Ms. Betsy Rice, Mil waukee; two sons, Maurice Jr., 2909 Indiana Ave., and Dr. John O. Rice, Be ttendorf, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Fant, Mil wukee. One sister preceded her in death.
