Obituary:
Roger R. Elsbernd, 58, rural Crosby, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1993, in a Minot hospital.
He was born Jan. 2, 1935, in Ambrose, to Bernard and Elizabeth Elsbernd. He was raised and educated in Crosby. He served in the Army in the late 1950's and was stationed in Germany. He married Marcia Bauer June 5, 1962, in Tolley. They lived and farmed on the family farm in Fillmore Township, Divide County, north of Crosby, for 31 years. He worked at various positions through the years while continuing to farm. He worked at Mobil Gas Station and Ingwalson Motors, both Crosby, for the State Highway Department, and as an insurance adjuster for Federal Crop Insurance.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge, and the Borderline Auto Club, all Crosby.
Survivors: wife; sons, Bernard, Milwaukee, Joseph, Grand Forks; daughter, Mary Sanidad, Sunnyvale, Calif.; brother, Leo, Crosby; sisters, Catherine Beyer, Hamilton, Marie Granrud, Bismarck, Olivia Brown, LaValle, Wis.
Funeral: Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Crosby.
Burial: In the church cemetery.
Rosary recitation and visitation: Rosary recitation today at 7:30 p.m. in Stakston-Martin Funeral Home, Crosby. Visitation will be there today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
