    Margaret R. Oberweiser, AppletonAge 82, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2001, at Appleton Medical Cent er following a short illness. She was born on July 3, 1918, in Kaukauna, t he daughter of the late Ambrose and Margaret (Fox) Rutter. On October 9, 1 949, she married James E. Oberweiser at St. Patrick Church in Menasha. Th ey enjoyed 51 years together. She was a former member of St. Joseph Cathol ic Church in Appleton, being active in the Christian Mothers Society. S he was currently a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton.She is survived by her husband, James E., of Appleton; two sons, Richa rd J. and Donald C. Oberweiser, both of Menasha; one grandson, Charles Obe rweiser of Menasha; one brother, Lawrence N. (Donna) Rutter of Sacrament o, California; three sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" (Roy) Dare of Willingbor o, New Jersey; Mary Jean (Paul) Breitbach of Kaukauna, and Carol Ann (Do n) Burnett of Hilton Head, South Carolina; 17 nieces and nephews, and 26 g reat-nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marion Rutter.Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 17, 2001, at 11 a .m. at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 212 South State Street in Appleton with t he Rev. Michael O'Rourke officiating. Interment will take place at St. Ma ry Cemetery in Menasha. Friends may call at the Wichmann Tri-County Chap el on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a. m. until the time of the services.     Obituary:
    Richard J. Oberweiser, age 64, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 7, 2015 with his loving wife Susan by his side. He was born in Appleton on August 23, 1950 to the late James and Margaret (Rutter) Oberweiser.
    Dick worked many long hours as a manager in the bar/restaurant and banquet establishments throughout the Fox Valley, including Alex's Crown, The Pioneer Resort and The Valley Inn in Neenah.
    Dick loved sailboats. All kinds, all sizes. His favorite summer past-time was sailing around Lake Winnebago with his son Charlie in his 16 foot ComPac. Some of his favorite sailing adventures were a Barefoot Caribbean Cruise and the two months he spent as a working crew member on a replica of Christopher Columbus's ship, the Niña.
    He loved gardening and had a very large vegetable garden. He also enjoyed cooking and finding new recipes for the vegetables he harvested, the fish he caught, and the deer and game he hunted.
    Dick met his wife Susan Erm at a ballroom dance class and they were united in marriage on June 11, 2003.
    He is survived by his wife Susan; son Charles Oberweiser of Tennessee; two stepsons: Nicholas (April) Sheets of Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Brian Sheets of Sherwood; five grandchildren; and a brother Donald (Jill) Oberweiser of Menasha.
    A funeral service for Dick will be held at 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 528 Second Street, Menasha. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Menasha. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
