Landwehr, Virginia H. (Duffey)Virginia H. (Duffey) Landwehr, age 97, Seymour, passed away early Friday m orning, July 4, 2003 at her home. She was born May 19, 1906 in Freedom, t he daughter of the late George and Dora (Leisch) Vandenberg. Virginia w as united in marriage to Thomas W. Duffey in 1925. He preceded her in dea th in 1974. On August 24, 1979 she was united in marriage to Thomas Landwe hr, Sr. in Seymour. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 1998. She was a memb er of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour and a member of the Ch ristian Mothers, and sang in the church choir for many years. She was a me mber of the Seymourettes Homemakers and the Womans Club. Virginia was an a vid gardener and received a correspondence degree in Horticulture lat er in her life.She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Ann) Duffey, Seymour; Patrick (Joa n) Duffey, Virginia; ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 grea t-great grandchild. She is further survived by a special nephew, Jon (Shar on) Dyer, Miami; and their two sons, her step-children: T.J. (Jane) Landwe hr, Seymour, Nancy Anderson, Florida, Mary (John) Zohlen, Maryland, Franc es (Bill) Fraser, Colorado, and one sister Lorraine LeFevre, Green Bay.Virginia was preceded in death by her husbands; one son, Daniel; one broth er, and three sisters.Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main Stree t, Seymour on Tuesday from 6 to 8 with the prayer service at 7:30. Visitat ion will continue on Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 9 15 Ivory Street, Seymour from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Mass of Christian Bur ial will be at 11 a.m., with Father Martin Fox officiating. The burial wi ll be in the parish cemetery.A special than you to Shirley Habeck and Alice Dunbar for all their care a nd concern.Virginia, particularly cared about all living things, especially her famil y, friends, dogs, birds and flowers.
