Van Dyke, Elizabeth Francis (Betty)
Elizabeth Francis (Betty) Van Dyke, 85, Mesa, AZ, formerly of Menasha, WI, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2008, after a five-year battle with cancer. Betty was born June 23, 1923, in Menasha, WI.
She will be sadly missed by her seven children: Dr. Robert (Pam) Van Dyke, Las Vegas, NV; Sue Van Dyke, Menasha; Sandie Van Dyke, Mesa, AZ; Connie Van Dyke, Green Bay; Tom Van Dyke, Phoenix, AZ; Carrie (Doug) Sternhagen, Winneconne; Rich (Donna) Van Dyke, Neenah, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Vernon Van Dyke, and her parents, Edmund and Eleanor Schmitzer.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Juanita Sapp and the staff at Hospice of the Valley, Mesa, AZ, who provided such tender care to our mother.
Wyman Cremation & Burial Chapel is assisting with the arrangements. A private service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ. Memorial donations may be made to: Hospice of the Valley-Arbor House, 6063 E. Arbor Ave., Bldg. B; Mesa, AZ 85206-6100.
