Bill was employed for 28 years at the Kimberly Paper Mill. He was a member at Zion Lutheran Church, Appleton. He loved spending time with his family which included going on many golf outings with his aunt and uncle: Karen and Tom Van Deraa; mom and dad; cousins: Mike and Jenny; and his brother, James. Bill looked forward to his weekly card playing nights with mom and dad, where he enjoyed winning. Most of all Bill had a heart of gold, and was always there for anyone.

Bill is preceded in death by his brother, James Nettekoven; maternal grandparents: Irvin and Mildred (Selig) Wiedenhaupt; and paternal grandparents: Victor and Ruth (Schmalz) Nettekoven.
