Gonnering, Dorot hy J.Dorothy J. Gonnering, Freedom, age 82, died on Monday, September 4, 200 6. She was born July 22, 1924, to the late Carl and Frances (Liesch) Grein er. On May 18, 1949, she married William Gonnering at St. Nicholas Cathol ic Church in Freedom. Dorothy loved her grandchildren and great-grandchild ren and enjoyed all their activities very much. She volunteered at Freed om Elementary Library. Dorothy enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing ca rds and games, and shopping with the girls. She also enjoyed her get toget hers with the Barflys (Bowling Team). "What a waste of a day!" was Dorothy 's comment when we went into emergency and she was in so much pain and hat ed wasting time.She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William, four children: daught er, Jayne (Dan) VandeWettering and their two children, Cory VandeWetteri ng (Michelle), Staci (John) VanZeeland and their three children: Adelyn, C ydnee and Fletcher; daughter, Sally (Tom) Michalkiewicz and their childre n, Tyler Michalkiewicz and his son, Hayden, Emily (Jeremie) Clark and the ir three children: Kayla, Brady and Kennedy, Ross Michalkiewicz; daughte r, Patti (Dave) Banks; son, Bill (Peggy) Gonnering and their children: Ad am Gonnering (special friend Amber), Megan Gonnering (special friend Nic k) and Travis Gonnering (special friend Jill). Dorothy is further surviv ed by five brothers: Carl (Rosie) Greiner, Bill (Ila) Greiner, Ronny (Vonn y) Greiner, Bob "Beaver" (Vionne) Greiner and Jim (Sharon) Greiner; li ke a brother, Amby Dickrell; in-laws: Lorraine Vandenberg, Rosie Stoffe l, Gene (Mary) Gonnering, Don (Lois) Gonnering, Orville (Sharon) Gonnerin g, Pat (Jerry) Kittiko, nieces, nephews and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Jeannie, a son, Scot t, mother and father-in-law, John (Rena Verstegen) Gonnering, in-laws: Mi ke Vandenberg, Jack (Catherine) Gonnering, Adelle (Earl) VanEperen, Don St offel.The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 200 6, at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Freedom, with Fr. John Schuetze offici ating. Friends will be received on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a par ish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fie ldcrest Drive, Kaukauna ,and again on Saturday at Church from 8:30 a.m. un til the time of service. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A memo rial fund has been established in her name.
